WHO: Annie Wheaton (OPEN)
WHAT: Re-arriving in Los Angeles.
WHEN: Night; around 10PM
WHERE: Random street not too far from the Hyperion
RATING: TBD
STATUS: In Progress
As quietly as Annie had been returned to her own time and place, she found herself back in Los Angeles. It hadn't been more than a month, possibly two, since she'd found herself back at home. Just long enough for her to settle into her routine once more, really. However, rather than react poorly to the sudden displacement, she was actually somewhat pleased. Truth be told, Annie had missed the people she'd met in this strange place. They understood her far more than her own family (not counting Sister, of course) and didn't have a problem with her using her abilities. In fact, some of them even encouraged it and it was because of that fact that Annie had slowly but surely begun to connect with the world around her.
Not long after returning home, however, that connection had been lost and Annie had retreated within the safety of her mind yet again.
She was back now, though. Back in the place where people accepted her for who she was and didn't try to hide her away. Back where she was able to play her music for as long as she liked without anyone screaming at her to turn it off. Back to, if she understood the concept, was far more of a home to her than her own home had ever been.
With a small, private sort of smile on her face, the young woman hugged her doll tightly against her chest as she took in her surroundings. She could sense the Hyperion not far away and slowly began to move at a sedate pace in that direction. However she also could sense that she wasn't alone on this seemingly desolate street, and it was for that reason that she didn't move quickly toward her destination but rather took her time and gave whoever she could sense plenty of time to approach her if they so wanted.
She doubted they would, of course. After all, not many people wanted to go near a girl who was causing every street lamp she passed to turn off, or making every car alarm on the street beep every few seconds until she was far enough past them that they fell silent once more. No, most people tended to avoid little girls like that.
