Seeing her grief come on like a sudden storm, making him frown as well. He didn’t like to see her sad either. But like a storm her sadness passed, he figured her pain was eased by the comfort of her doll. The doll being her security blanket in a way; he wished he had one as well, maybe he wouldn’t feel as bad as he did. “Yes I am…” He gave her another smile. No he wasn’t entirely happy but the Hyperion was much better then the outside where people were cruel and lacked understanding of him. It hurt though the pain was just a simple pest in comparison to his every night pain but he spoke none of this to Annie. She deserved to be happy, unaffected by woe and pain. Jared was rather fond of her, already finding hushed joy in a big brother-like role as he had never really known his true sister. He had to admit having a sister was a nice thought. “Are you hungry Annie? I bet I could find you something to eat…do you like cookies? I believe I saw some in the pantry” he said as clear as he could for the special girl.
