Shopping trip, of the sports variety
Characters: Angelina Johnson and OPEN
Setting: Diagon Alley (specifically anywhere between Quality Quidditch Supplies [#26] and Whizz Hard Books [#38] which is a lot of area to run into her), November 4th around 3 pm
Summary: Angie gets out to go shopping, her way.
Rating: Probably work safe

Angie didn't know about anyone else, but she needed to get out of the house. Unfortunately as it wasn't late enough to head to a pub and get completely pissed, she decided to distract herself another way: shopping, but thankfully not for a dress. She didn't really need new Quidditch supplies, but she wouldn't turn them down. Some of her gear was running a bit threadbare on padding, and she'd heard Quality Quidditch supplies had gotten in a new line of goggles that sharpened vision in inclement weather. Though she didn't often read much, she had the desire to sop into Whizz Hard books and see if they had any new biographies of sports legends. Might as well do both at once.

Angie got dressed, noticing only afterwards that lately she'd been wearing neutrals as opposed to her brighter louder colors. Instead of red or jewel tones, she was beige jeans and a olive top. If she were more overly concerned with fashion and mood she might have changed, forced herself to wear something brighter to help pick up her spirits, but she figured who cared? Besides, she'd just attend the funeral of the wizarding world's hero yesterday. She was allowed to not be bright and happy.

She Apparated to Diagon Alley with her usually loud crack of sound, Angie appeared somewhere between the two stores, debating which one to hit up first.

Angie couldn't really argue with Michael. She wanted that broom, even if she hadn't come in for it, and it wasn't going to set her back too far, even if it was a bit of a splurge.

But that didn't mean she wouldn't try. "Yes, you've helped me out of a far too heavy wallet, is that it? I can do the same for you if you like," she teased. Forgotten was the bookstore, as she now intended on having tea. She paid for the broom - which certainly cost a fair few galleons, enough to make her wince slightly, but it was well worth it. The goggles were negligible in comparison. "All right let's be off. You can tell me what you've been up to of late and I can cure my hankering for an apple tart."

Michael offered her his arm again as they exited the store and laughed. "We aren't all famous like you, love. My wallet isn't so heavy to begin with, so there's no need to worry about lightening the load. But I'll see if I can't help you with that apple tart craving."

He lead her off down the street toward a cafe, catching her up on his past few days. It was easy to ignore the loom of the nightmares when you weren't actually having them, but he knew that it wasn't something he could continue to ignore for very much longer and this delightful reprieve would not last forever.
