Liam leaned back in his over-stuffed, fine leather chair, hand holding the phone to his ear as he kicked one leg up over the other leg, staring out the window into the Philly skyline. His breathing was calm, and his voice was low, but it was loud enough to hear by anyone walking in, and though his voice was steady, it was anything but relaxed, it was angry, "I don't fucking care what he's going through, tell that shitstain that if he doesn't have it by the end of the week, we'll cut off his balls and send them to his mother in Indiana."

He rubbed at his temple, sighing as the other spoke shakily through the receiver on the other end, "If you can't handle it without pissing down your leg, then you can add your own pair to the fucking box, got it? Now get it done, get that money to me, or I'll put you in a fucking box next to him. Do whatever you have to, and don't call me again tonight. This is my private time, and it's not to be meddled with for pathetic squabbles like this." He then slammed the phone down in the receiver and Liam turned around to face the door, grabbing up the expensive glass of scotch, and lifted it to his lips to sip, staring at the computer in front of him.

He set the glass down, dressed in all black suit and black button up that was half undone, with a black undershirt beneath. He took another sip, and then closed his eyes as he rubbed at his temple.

"Then I won't stop," Liam offered with a bit of a smile, sipping at his wine while she continued on with her point, and just shrugged, "I won't complain about having you kept around," Another sip of his wine, and he set it back down before licking his lips and looking over at her, his head tilting to the side some, just watching her. He nodded at the idea of losing a life as a healer.

"Well, it's part of the job. As long as you do your best, you're sure you've done everything you could, it's not on you--you're the person trying to save their life, right?" He smiled and reached a hand across the table to touch the back of hers, "I'm sure it can get tough, but your heart will always be what wins out, I can tell."

Liam shook his head and shrugged his shoulders, "You're right, I am successful, I'm great at what I do, and yet it's not everything. I'll get there though, I'm certain of it."

"I would hope that you don't. I rather enjoy being around you often." And if their relationship progressed, she wouldn't mind staying over often either. His penthouse was far nicer than her little home and she was starting to quite enjoy the finer things in life.

"You are right. It's just hard sometimes. I can't help but imagine their loved ones mourning." It had never gotten easier for her, but she had always been a bit of a bleeding heart.

"Then let's hope to you being around as often as possible," Liam smiled, another sip of his wine, and then a tilt to his head and he just listened to her talk, another sip, and then it was on the table once more, shaking his head, "I don't doubt that it's hard. And of course you do, you care about people; which, generally, I would think matters in being a doctor. A professional care taker. It's why you're so brilliant at it."

He set the glass back down, and leaned forward to watch her, "Oh you think I'm going to tell you all that I need right now? No, I think you're going to have to earn that sort of information out of me. Love."

Liam smirked and winked, then leaned back when their food was brought out, grabbing up his utensils and looked over the table at her, "Eat up, you're going to love it I swear."

"As long as you want me."She smiled back and enjoyed the moment with him. It was so nice to be with Liam. He made her feel special without even trying, so when he tried, she felt like the luckiest woman in the world. "Thank you. It's easy to care about people though.

"I think you should tell me,maybe I can help you out with some of it." She wondered just what he could need. The romantic in her started thinking of love and marriage. Otherwise, she had no clue.

"I'm sure I will adore it." She agreed as she took up her fork and took a bite, nearly moaning at the taste. "This is amazing Liamn. We should just eat here all the time." She joked, even as she took another large bite, enjoying it.

Liam's brow jutted up to the air and a snarky laugh left his lips with a shake of his head, "Are you asking if I want you, and you're somehow expecting me to say no? I think it's possible you don't own a mirror, Amy."

He laughed and took a sip from his wine, while biting into his meal and closing his eyes, simply enjoying it for a moment, then looking back towards her, tilting his head to the side a bit, "Do you enjoy it? I'd love to have this most nights, but I do think I know a few good places you might enjoy."

He then laughed, "and no, I have no intention of telling you until you have earned that bit of information," He then smiled with a wink, another bite of his alfredo, smiling as he chewed and eyed her, "Though if I get to hear more of those sounds out of your mouth, maybe here all the time isn't a terrible idea."

Liam shook his head, "I'm sorry, I'm being crude."

"You never know. You could decide otherwise." But her smile hinted that she knew that wasn't going to happen any time soon. They might have tried to deny the attraction at the beginning, but there was no denying things ever again.

"I have a feeling that's impossible for you, but even then, I think those eyes and that smile of yours would keep me completely won over to just how wonderfully beautiful you are," Another smile and a sip of his wine before he let out a breath and just tilted his head up to the side.

He slid his finger slowly around the rim of the glass as he watched her, getting a sense of her flirtation and where she wanted this night to go. He leaned forward and shrugged, "Amelia, if you want that sort of information, there are ways to earn it... you'll just have to ask in the proper way. And if you're willing, I'd be more than happy to teach you that way."
