Age of Marvels [ OOC ]

Hello everyone. I'm Marie, and I'm fresh chum in the water. I'm bringing with me one Robbie Baldwin, who is here for a good time. I actually had a really fun/difficult (seems like a paradox, but it's not) time putting together his biography for a world where the Stamford disaster never happened.

His application is here for those of you who are curious, but I'll give it to you in a nutshell here. Robbie transferred into the Stark School when his parents divorced, the New Warriors were a loose unofficial grouping of teenaged heroes being the nerds that they were, and the first season of the New Warriors reality show did happen. It wasn't very good, and the second season was never put into production.

Rob's continued to Speedball it up all over New York though, and he went to Empire State for undergrad and now for law school (yay, pandering to parental expectations).

He also has a super-powered cat, because it was in the app and no one told me to take it out. Booyah, Kit Tay Niezzy Niels in the house. I am forever not sorry.

If anyone is still reading this, I'm looking for people to volunteer to click into place a few more pieces of his life? Friends, exes who think he's the loser that he is, a roommate that knows he's even worse than that...

To sum up, happy to be here, let's do things!

Heya Jace here with my third in the form of John Blaze, the Ghost Rider.

For anyone who has tried to read and make sense of his backstory.. it's kind of a trip but for the purposes of the game and simplicity's sake, John basically made a deal with Mephisto to save his step-Dad from cancer.. only to have the man die in a motorcycle accident anyway. Mephisto showed up and bound the demon Zarathos to John (who was also screwed in his own way as he had been a potential rival to Mephisto), thus making him into the rider whenever innocent blood is spilled/or in the presence of evil.

Which means that at game start John transforms into the Rider when those conditions are met, at which point the Rider/Zarathos takes over and dispenses fiery vengeance. So he's more of a reactive force than anything else. You won't see him rescuing cats from trees.

I'd love for him to have run ins with street level people, maybe being pursued by SHIELD, and of course he simply has to run into the magic users. If you want to work out any lines or whatever with him let me know.

Okay. First of all, I want to apologize to everyone for my sudden MIA. That's not my usual style at all. My insomnia decided to flare up to unmanageable levels. From there it's been that wonderfully delightful process of trying to adjust to changes in diet, meds, and sleep that feels anything but restful. I finally seem to have it under some sense of control now and should be back around on a more full-time, as usual, basis. I will try and go back and review things that have happened, respond to OOC introduction posts and things for the characters today. It shouldn't take me too long, and I thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this mess.

Secondly, and on a much better note, I bring you my second character here at Age of Marvels. I have this fantastic (you'll see what I did there) brain child, Reed Richards. Reed's a numbers guy, and not the most socio-emotionally aware of people in the whole wide world, but he really does try. He promises. You know, that's why he tries to come up with ways to save things and make the planet better. He's better with that kind of thing. He's a super brain inventor who likes to make himself available to the community though, and he's pretty disturbed by some of the world event things as of late, so. Reed in his Reedyness? I don't even know. BUT I WELCOME ALL THE PLOTS.

Hey everyone, Jace again, this time with Thor Odinson.

I was not a part of 'Marvel Prep' but through plotting and conversing with Jan I've worked in some of his history from his time there so if you have a character that would have known him during that time too let me know and I'd be happy to work out anything.

To save you from reading his history (though you are more than welcome to!), here's Thor in a nutshell: Completely arrogant until Odin stripped him of his powers, de-aged him into a teenage body, and sent him back to school. There he met Jane and learned some humility finally especially when Mjolnir showed up and went to her instead of him initially. He ultimately became worthy when he let go of his pride and accepted that she might actually be the one better suited to wield his hammer. He was a founding member of the Avengers but is at least for now a Reserve member.

If you want to work out any connections or plots I'm more than game.

I'll spare you the abridged version, as his pre-Xavier history is virtually identical to the canon. Essentially, he's the same preppy, hard-ass leader you're probably already expecting. Eventually, the plan is to take him to some of the more complex places his character has gone recently in the comics. However, I figure the best way to do that is to have him start off with him as the straight-laced guy seen in most interpretations, and throw in the complexities later. I'm sure Xavier's death will be a great place to start with that process.

Anywho, he's been at the mansion and with the X-Men from the beginning so no doubt he'll at least know of a bunch of your characters already, mutant or otherwise. If there's anyone out there who's even thought about playing Alex, let me know what I can do to further that thought process. My nights are tricky for the next few days, but in the meantime I'm around in the daytime and late night (around 11:30 or midnight CST) for a few hours or so. I'd love to plot with all of you! Let's talk.

Hi all, this is Calli! I feel like I was just here on the OOC, possibly because I was, but I have my second character in now and that is where I'm stopping. For now. IDK. Why are there so many awesome characters in the Marvel universes??

Anyway, this here is Ororo Munroe, possibly better known as Storm, who is an X-Man and (brand new) headmistress of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. ( This is a cut for length! )

Hello peoples of ageofmarvels ! It is midweek, my brain is so tired from work, so I am going to keep this nice and short-ish. This is Kelly, and I am bringing in Illyana Rasputin.

She's got a background the is very 616 comic based (but tweaked a tiiinnny bit) but in a nutshell: got kidnapped and brought to a hell dimension (Limbo!) when she was a kid, time pasess faster there then in regular reality, so while a couple of weeks passed in the AoM reality years passed for her. Eventually she got out (yay) but her parents were like 'WTF - our daughter is six and you're a teenager!' Thankfully Xavier came to the rescue and she went to school in the US, and has been hanging around since.

She's got two brothers you may have heard of (Mikhail and Piotr "Colossus" Rasputin) but I've skimmed over them in her backstory so if anyone wants to pick them up as characters they have free backstory reign.

And this is already longer than I intended so super quick wrap up! She's not on any team at the moment, but I plan on having her visit Kitty at some point! Other then that - friends? Or "friends" since she can be a bit prickly? Enemies? People she knows? People she could come to know? Hit me up! :D

Hallo all!

So I'm Ava and I'm excited to get to know you guys! I know some of you already and I'm very much looking forward to getting to know the rest of you. I'm a lit agent by day and night and... well. You get the idea. What it does mean is that my schedule is crazy and I'm usually on later at night as a result. That being said, I've been itching to get back into the RP scene again so here I am. And before I even really get into the game, I managed to drag Shannon here. \o/ (But turnabout is fair play since Dee poked at me. Soooo.)

I'm bringing the ORIGINAL smashy-smash guy, Bruce Banner. Pretty much everything you could ever want to know about Bruce is in his profile. He's working at the Stark School teaching science (Dean of Sciences... same thing, really. Just more stress. Whoops.). Because clearly the best thing in the world is to have Bruce Banner reading term papers. And dealing with bureaucracy. *shifty* But he also likes to science shit up so hopefully there's going to be a Tony Stark around because Science Reasons(tm). (Also because I'm a horrible person and want to play things from Original Sin).

The big thing with how I play him is I make him an amalgamation of MCU and 616 -- basically the abuse + how he became the Hulk comes from 616, but personality-wise and some of his other ticks come from MCU.

Hello lots of people I don't know.. this is Jace and I bring you Magneto (easily my favorite character ever. Of all time. Who I hope to do justice).

In addition to the bits about his past shenanigans per the world info/timeline, this version of Magneto is heavily influenced from the Magneto Testament series and is in general drawn more from the comics than his movie depictions with the exception of the PB I could not resist.

With the death of Xavier he underwent a radical de-aging process as he knew he was himself near the end of his own life at ninety years old and without Charles he feared for the future of their kind. In addition to instantly making him more powerful as he has the wisdom of using his powers for so many years and a youthful body to handle the energies, he's also not quite so recognizable which I hope will enable him to have interactions with certain characters that he might not otherwise once people catch on to his identity.

Anyway that's enough out of me. Feel free to hit me up with any kind of plots or connections. As far as the Brotherhood is concerned I am going to say he has not retaliated or done anything yet in the wake of Xavier's passing so that if and when he does it can be blissfully played out in game.

I'm Shannon and I don't think I know anybody aside from Ava in game (if I do, please correct me!) The long and short of me - I work all over the continental United States, my time zone varies, and I love tagging while on airplanes. When not in love with Mr. Wade W. Wilson I'm firmly #TeamCap and obsessed with Squirrel Girl, Dr. Strange, and the *New* Wolverine.

Who do I bring to you? Well, the Chieftan of Chimichangas! The Hello-est of Hello Kitty Fans! The rolling with the homies or homies! Wade Wilson! I know, I know, you all think he's here to make your job harder; but, I promise, for the right price he'll at least be hired to make your job *easier.*

His history is fairly comics compliant with time spent in Weapon X / Department K and all sorts of love interests. Mostly, I've left out at lot of his history with Cable because I'm praying SOMEONE will take it upon themselves to reign in Wade's crazy at some point.

In terms of plot, I'm up for literally EVERYTHING. Seriously. Did Wade kill Xavier? SURE, why not!

More importantly, I'd really like to compile a list of people Deadpool has attempted to assassinate / successfully assassinated (do you, too, have a healing factor or clone?) in the past.

I'm Ivy and I'm pretty sure I know some of you at least. To those of you whom I do not. Hi, it's nice to meet you. I'm a full blown grown up, transplanted to the sunny state of Florida. Originally from New England. I'm a big, unabashed, shameless, geek. I like getting to know people, comics, cooking, and uh, stuff? Yeah. We'll go with stuff. I keep long (and weird) hours and am always available for poking, plotting, conversations, general chat, and so on. I also like coffee, which I have not had enough of yet today and am about to remedy so that I can get down on doing some writing and tagging with you all from the perspective of this precious little shieldmaster right here.


Say Hi to Steeeeeeve Rogers. I'm sure he doesn't need a lot of introduction, 'cause, c'mon. He's Captain America. Though he hasn't always been, but Steve doesn't like to talk about those times. Anywaym for a more detailed bit of his history, see his app (here) and I'll keep the rundown brief for the purposes of his intro. He's Cap. He punched a lot of things in wartime, then he was frozen for awhile. Then he wasn't and he punched more things, just in a less official capacity. Then he came back to the world, because the world needed a good, American, symbol. Plus you shouldn't kill Howard Stark, it makes people sad. It makes Steve very punchy, which is not a good thing to be on the receiving end of honestly.

In the meantime of all the punchy things, I totally welcome all the plot (there's contact info on the app, and I am often available on AIM and Gchat respectively). Steve does too. There aren't many people out there he won't talk to (and given AoM's divergence from mainstream Marvel canon, there's even less! Hooray!) and if anyone ever needs help with anything he'll be the first to lend a hand. Or a shield. Or maybe a shoulder clap and a pep talk, but that counts as a hand, because he uses his hands. So. Yes.

Hey everyone, Nat here, and I'm sure there's probably a fair few familiar faces around :)

Bringing in everyones third favourite Canadian, Jean-Paul Beaubier. He's a sarcastic piece of work, though if you can win him over he'll be a friend for life. Strong willed and has a quick temper, he enjoys drinking and smoking though you wouldn't know any of this if you're a student at the Xavier school. His work persona is almost a completely seperate identity to who he really is.

Jan again with a newb named Hope. Daughter of Hank Pym & Janet Van Dyne, she was mostly estranged, but ended up going to Stark after the pym particles in her body activated. She just graduated last year, and has been working for her dad for about two years at Pym Tech. She's also been with the Avengers since she hit 18, being all stylish in a suit her mother designed for her. She's only a part-time member, because she's hyper focused on getting her dad's attention and approval. You can read her pretty brief profile here.

She's work hard/play hard kind of girl, so science types, people she would've spent the last two years making connections with, party people, rich kids, teammates, gimme gimme!

My name is Brett, and today I'm introducing Will "Don't-Call-Me-Billy" Kaplan aka Wiccan (and, should revisions be effective, hopefully soon Elektra!).

I recognize many of you, as well as a few new-to-me faces, and I look forward to plotting with you and making new and old lines!

As of right now, Wiccan is not a part of any team or organization. He's been going around the world and neighboring dimensions, making magical wrongs right on his solo quest to be a Serious Mage, but the Chaos Magics he wields may not be playing along so well, and he's bound to need help soon!

Currently he's moved back to NYC to reconnect with family and the mundane world, and it's not going to be a very easy transition.

And I'm bringing in Teddy Altman aka Hulkling. He's an Avenger and a part-time comic book store clerk with a small but nice apartment in Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY. He did attend CUNY for a short time. But Avengers is more than a full-time thing. Teddy's a fun-loving, party, happy and goofy guy. He still does some impressions (not as much as he did in middle school).

He has a great heart and loads of courage. Just no swimming contests or no flying races over lakes or oceans. Teddy went to Xavier's his sophomore year and Stark's his junior and senior year. He would have kept up with friendships with both schools.

Tis Nando again. I also bring you Sam Alexander. He is from Arizona and an ESU Freshman because everyone cool goes to ESU. He's also known as NOVA. SHHH. It's a secret. Kinda. Rocket Radcoon and Gamora are his mentors and he's been fighting wars in space and stuff. So, he's totes cool guys. He's super excited about being a hero and he is also extra cocky about how pretty he is and just how awesome he is. He's like a mini-Latino Johnny Storm except without the whole shameless flirtation with girls and taking them home at night because Sam is totes a family kinda guy and respects women. Especially when they think he's awesome.

He probably won't have any immediate connections with people yet unless they're affiliated with SHIELD, possibly SWORD, and if they're in the SHIELD ACADEMY. Or SPACE things. So. Yes. :D All the plots.

Hi everyone, Marissa here with my sixth and last character, Kitty Pryde. Kitty is an Xavier's alum and recently made the decision to leave her spot with the X-Men over some...differences of opinion.

Her profile goes into further detail about it, but to put it simply, she thinks the X-Folks are not doing enough to find Xavier's killer. If your character knows her in any way she's made her opinions about this known over the last three days. Thrown around insults, called lots of people a JERK!!!!

She's decided to take matters into her own hands and investigate the assassination herself. It's about to take her to England, and she may be in a little over her head (not that she knows it yet.) Luckily there's someone across the pond ready to reluctantly come to her aide.

I welcome all connections, especially fellow mutants with whom she could have gotten into a spat. Does your character respect her decision? Shake their head in her general direction? Can she still email them if she gets lonely?

Hiiiiiii so this is Dee and yes I already have a second and no I have no regrets on the matter.

This is Pete Wisdom and he has no codename because he hates codenames and super suits. He wears a black suit and tie basically permanently. He would rather go naked than wear spandex. Go ahead and test the theory. ;) His full application and info is here. Pete is a mutant who used to be involved with a reallllly morally dark group of spies called Black Air, and he eventually turned on them to join MI-6. He did some bad things when he worked with BA that he still is kind of tormented by. Now he's a major investigator for the MI-13 branch which deals specifically with the supernatural and superhuman communities. Kind of like MI-6s version of SWORD.

He is a chain smoking heavy drinking bad mouthed British git. Who has a very very tarnished and muddied heart of gold. He never went to either of the schools, BUT he's dealt with SWORD and SHIELD over the years and often is used as a point person from MI-6 if they wanted info from the other side of the pond. Because he's not from the schools I could definitely use any connections he'd have in that sense, since he doesn't have the traditional kind. He will be the point person for investigations re: Xavier's assassination from the European side of things. He's about to get thrown into Xavier land, no small thanks in part because of a stubborn dark haired Yank on her way to England.

If anyone wants to app any UK characters or have them be a part of MI-13 I would love you forever. (Excalibur, guys, it could be a thing, it could be a thing.) He and Carol are up for anything! Gimme gimme. <3

Heya everyone! My name is Jen and I'm a new player to the game. At this moment I have two lovely ladies to bring to you.

The first is Nico Minoru, aka Sister Grimm (Though she's debating how much she still wants to go by that.) She's currently working for SHIELD as a somewhat glorified social worker for other super powered teens. She wants to be there for kids that were like her at that age, give them someone who's going to actually listen and trust them a little. She needs all the usual, her friends, lovers, and rivals.

My other girl is Wanda Maximoff here. My dear Scarlet Witch is sweet, kind, and loving... but she's also currently in the brotherhood of evil mutants. Her father and brother are the main guiding forces of her life. Beyond that, she's actually kind of shy and really doesn't have much control over her powers. And just like Nico, Wanda needs friends, loves, rivals, and her brother! lol.
