Who: Caelee Turner and Trace Wyzisky
What: So. Much. Angst.
When: Eveningish(?), Thursday September 5th
Where: Wyzisky house, Trace's room.
Rating: High, potential triggers for death and car crashes.
Caelee wasn't a quiet person by nature. She was full of energy, always going and generally talking a million miles a minute. Ever since she'd gotten the news about Sandy, though, she'd been a mere shadow of herself. She'd exchanged a few words with her brothers and with Cole on the plane, but mainly it had just been handholding and trying very hard not to cry. She knew they wouldn't think any less of her for her tears, but she still didn't want to let herself fall apart. Maybe it was that a part of her thought she would need to be strong for Trace. She sent her things home with Charles and Chris, but it was Cole (and Gage?) she got into a car with. She knew her family was there for her, but right now she needed to see her friend. He was probably the only one who felt as bad as she did right now, possibly even worse. And she knew he couldn't possibly be okay, but she also knew she wouldn't be able to rest until she'd seen him. Somehow, she convinced everyone to let her up to see Gage alone once they'd arrived at the Wyzisky's and moments later she was quietly letting herself into a room she'd spent many hours in before her move to Luna Bay. It was all innocent, but Caelee knew those walls as well as she did her own. She opened her mouth to speak, but she didn't really know what to say. Normally, it would be some joking remark, flirty but in that not remotely serious way, because he was in love with her best friend and there was no way she'd ever actually do anything. Somehow, Caelee wasn't in the mood for jokes or flirting, though, so she cleared her throat and tried again. "Hey..." was all she could come up with, but if anyone would understand her lack of words, it had to be Trace. |
