Summary: They celebrate Derek's birthday

Brian was determined to make this birthday a success whether Derek wanted or not. Oh sure, technically it was for Oliver and Derek, but their friends understood why this was for Derek, at least when it came to Brian and John.

He got in touch with a local restaurant and had to make a run to pick up trays of food. He would have loved to arrange everything through the restaurant, but he couldn't imagine Derek enjoying the fancy dishes served there. Instead he went for a little simpler menu. He also got cakes for both and desserts of different time. Nell couldn't exactly bake here, but Brian still got the ice cream cake (no alcohol) and alcohol to go with it. Derek could bitch and moan, but Brian would make sure that they covered all of their bases down to fruit, vegetables and milk, because the man was superstrange, but making him happy made John happy and that was all that Brian cared about.

With everything set up, Brian could lie by the pool and get a tan while ogling all the good looking men. It was indeed a good party.

"All right, the picnics then. You figure out all the ways someone could attack us, how we'd escape it, and tell me, and I'll fill in the gaps," Oliver conceded. It wasn't as if he didn't want Tommy not to learn to handle not only himself, but to watch out for Oliver in return. Things would be picked up faster if the environment was harsher, but trial by fire wasn't something he'd wish on Tommy.

Oliver became distracted by Tommy's kiss, then Tommy's hand enclosing him. His fingers entangled in Tommy's hair, the other hand on Tommy's shoulder gripping him as Oliver delved deeper into the second kiss and the pleasure he was receiving. He could still hear and was aware, but his thoughts quieted.

They touched all the time, but it hadn't crossed the border into truly sexual teritory until now. Oliver pushed into Tommy's hand, sliding his lips from Tommy's to slip along Tommy's jaw. "You've got a deal," he answered, but his mind wasn't on training or evacuation, and if anyone showed up now, they'd be dead in a heartbeat. Tommy had waited too long and anyone stopping him would be risking his life.

Tommy stopped kissing only to watch Oliver, watch the peaceful look that had been missing for too long. "God, I've never thought of doing this, but... it feels so right." Oliver muttered a few explicatives against Tommy's lips. It was fantastic, and rather pathetic he wasn't going to last, but giving over to Tommy made it all right. And when he did, his body seized like a bow and he spilled over Tommy's fist.

"Shut up," Oliver muttered, lightly swatting at Tommy. His cheeks felt heated. Jerking off wasn't exactly high on the needs scale.

Oliver chuckled at Tommy's reaction, then rolled to pin Tommy down on the mattress. "I wasn't feeling bad to begin with, but I won't say I didn't enjoy it." He rolled back easily, smiling at Oliver. "You didn't look so relaxed to me, but I can stop myself if you want in the future," he said, laughing, but the sound was drowned out by the kiss. Oliver chuckled around Tommy, knowing what he was doing and making sure Tommy knew it, too. Oliver wasn't some gentle woman, or even an enthusastic one. He was a man, who knew exactly what a man liked, and had the power to give it. His mouth was diferent. His hand and grip were different. He put his energy into making Tommy realize that getting head may be good, but getting it from another guy made it even better.

It hadn't changed that Oliver liked giving head, either, something that gave him a perverse thrill. While it wasn't the best taste in the world, Oliver swallowed anyway. He'd had worse and it was easy clean up. He gave Tommy a smug grin before moving, taking a drink of his lemonade, leaving Tommy dangling limply in the wind.

His gaze slid to the window and around the room as he put the glass back on the bedside table, then he relaxed and folded his hands behind his head.

Tommy laughed. "No, not the same thing." When Oliver lay back, he rolled toward Oliver again. He wasn't sure why his fingers kept going to the scars, playing with them. "It's different because it's you, Oliver. I ... yeah, still not really interested in other guys." He might have kissed TJ, but that had been curiosity more than any sexual attraction, curiosity and alcohol.

He snorted. "We haven't. Ask Bud Hammond. I'm pretty sure that was part of his defense, and he's a lawyer and the former President so I'm totally using his reasoning."
