There is only one god and his name is Death.
Characters: Kurt, anyone at the X-Mansion
Setting: The X-Mansion
Content: Zombies and stuff
Summary: #X-Men problems
Ein Unglück kommt selten allein Kurt muttered to himself, a proverb that was about the same as the English 'when it rains, it pours.' He was standing on the front steps of the manor, staring down the long front drive to the closed gates where a whole group of zombies were trying to force their way in. There'd been weeks of relative peace secluded out here, but Kurt and the others had known it was only a matter of time before their luck ran out. Especially with Xavier gone.
The Professor had left for a trip to Europe only days before the outbreak first began and a month ago Kurt had lost contact with him completely, by phone and by telepathy (which unnerved Kurt the most since, if the Professor couldn't speak into his mind did that mean the Professor was dead?) and now the X-Men and their pupils were on their own. At first, they'd done their best to take in anyone seeking help but soon they'd had to close the manor to keep the people they had safe. Whenever someone got sick- and it inevitably happened- Kurt and the others restrained them and put them down in one of the many rooms below the school where they couldn't hurt other people. He refused to kill any of them, the professor had told him that they were all still people, after all. A fact which Kurt had to remind himself of as he stared out at the howling mass trying to breach the school grounds.
"Kurt," a small voice called his name and Kurt turned to face an anxious looking blonde child with large butterfly wings on her back who had just come out of the house. "There's some on the grounds."
"What?" he asked in surprise and she told him quickly that somehow a group of the things- "People" he corrected her- had made it into the mansion's grounds through the back. Kurt wasted no more time, he told the girl to get inside and teleported first to Kitty to tell her to lock down the manor and then out back to survey the scene. Six afflicted people were roaming, sniffing at the air and turning their bleary eyes towards the mansion. The fastest and therefore, in this case, the best course of action would be to get them downstairs as quickly as possible. With a crack he was suddenly beside one, taking it by the arm and, before it could register what had happened, he had it down in a secluded room underneath the mansion. He did the same to another, and another and it was when he was going for the fourth that he got bitten. He let go immediately and stepped back, staring down at his arm in horror.
