Cal watched her slow approach with a scowl himself. He tried to look really threatening. Even sucked in his stomach a little. But it was all hollow. He was so terrified of life without his powers that he was willing to do anything to gain a chance at real freedom. If that meant throwing his wardens into the line of fire then so be it. After all, Calvin was the prisoner here. They never let him forget that. Not even during the apocalypse.
What surprised him was the move to cut off Kurt's power. That he hadn't seen coming. So, Cal really was free then? The first thought was to wonder why? The second was guilt. "Right. I'll uh, get to it then." Had he made the right move back there? Huh.
