A bottle of spring was carefully held in one hand, as Rita looked over the water on the horizon. The sea, gods above, she loved the sight of the sea. Something about the endless saltwater, it drew her. Where she had grown up, water had been so precious, so expensive. It rained, nearly constantly during the summers, during the monsoon season. Drinking any of it was discouraged, not until it could be filtered and cleaned of toxins and bacteria that could make any who drank it violently ill.
She unscrewed the top of the bottle and took a slow sip, before lowering the bottle back down and turning away from the sight of the sea. Or, at least, since it was everywhere, stop focusing on one of her favorite sights in the world.
Clad in the characteristic drawstring, loose capri yoga pants and athletic tank, Rita was attempting to fully prepare herself for teaching classes on board a cruise ship. Every class she had taught before, they had all been extremely casual and within a small community center. These were quite different than those, or at least she imagined that the would be. The cruise line had supplied the yoga mats, which were all stacked neatly in their rolls off to the side of the cleared deck.
Rita bit her bottom lip as she looked back over her shoulder at the sea, waiting to see if any passengers would arrive for her first class.
