Just Runnin'
Who: Savannah, Chelsea
Where: The gym
When: Afternoon
Savannah was upset. She was upset with her brother for being a jack-ass and with her sister for first disappearing and then waltzing off again. Well, Savannah wasn't going to wait for her to come back. She had tried, but the longer she was cooped up in their suite, the more anxious she became.
It was like she could feel the fat forming. If she didn't get up and exercise soon, she felt for certain she would gain fifty pounds by evening. And did her face look just a little chubbier? Part of Savannah knew that it was the Disease eating at her, but she reasoned it was time to exercise anyway. Afterwards, she would feel better, and perhaps there would be a salad or something she could force herself to eat? She knew she was supposed to be eating, but she had been avoiding the activity all day. Later, she promised her conscience.
This was the first time Savannah had come to the gym. It was relatively quiet, so Savannah had her pick of which machines she wanted to try. She had a gym membership back home, and she was familiar with most of the equipment. She chose to begin simply and parked herself on a treadmill as music from her iPod filtered into her ears.
Her hair, which she had thrown into a pony tail, bounced with each step. In this state, she was more conscious than ever of her appearance, and she had chosen her outfit carefully. The top was a pale blue Bia Brazil halter-top. The thin material clung to her body like a second skin while leaving her upper back bare. It also revealed a glimpse of cleavage. Her short-shorts were a simple black, although they also clung.
Already, she could feel the tension melting away as her legs moved beneath her. She felt better, thinner, and could almost envision the exercise heading off the incoming fat.
