Helping Hands [17 Apr 2009|05:56am]
[ mood | frustrated ]

Who: Emily and Molly
When: Around 4 PM
Where: The track

Running was a good way to work off frustration, or so Emily had heard. Right now her inability to do other exercises was a major source of her frustration. She wanted to practice her Tae Kwon Do. Maybe do some swimming. But with both of her hands in casts and her left arm in a sling besides, those things would have to wait. And I'm supposed to test for 4th Dan in just a couple of weeks, she thought bitterly. That would have to wait too. But, that was something she'd been working for for three years; she supposed she could manage to wait a few more weeks.

So instead she ran loops around this track. She was dressed in a pair of black shorts, a gray sports bra, and Asics running shoes. Even getting dressed had been a major task considering her injuries. She'd had to get her father to tie her shoes for her. How embarrassing, she thought, like I was still a little girl who couldn't tie her own shoes. Gregory hadn't minded, though; he was happy to help out his little girl any way he could.

TIME UPDATE [17 Apr 2009|05:41pm]
DATE: Sunday, January 3, 2010.

WEATHER: It is extremely cloudy today, which brings both good news and bad news. The good news? They're not rain clouds. The bad news? You can't tell where the sun is, which has made telling time impossible.

EVENTS: Things are going from bad to worse, though no passengers would know it. There are, however, a few things that members of the staff would know - or would be able to find out.

At six AM, all members of security (including Ronnie!) were called in for an emergency briefing. There have been more disappearances. Most of them are crew, and a few staff - among them, three members of security. Everyone is to be on high alert, because there is no 'natural' explanation for this. Another search of the ship takes place, but nothing turns up. As with all the other disappearances, they had to have gone overboard - the only question is how and why. People don't just disappear, right?

Surprisingly, all the performance staff (Res, Keane, CJ, Leah, and Zoe) could have a chance at discovering something today. Among the disappearances is the cruise director, Nina R. Brown. Nina is (was?) in charge of most of the staff, but hardly anyone ever spoke to her directly, and had managers instead. The exception to this is the performance staff, as Nina was the events coordinator. If anyone had tried to get in contact with her yesterday, they would have been unsuccessful. Today, if they ask around, the crew will tell them that she has gone missing - and instruct them to keep this information to themselves.

Leto is a character to watch, as she'll be having a surprising visit later in the morning - which may just be giving her more information than she ever wanted.

And now for the weird shit. Exactly like Chelsea, Brodie, Molly, and Emily will wake up to find the injuries they suffered on New Year's Eve have healed completely. There are still a few stray bruises and scrapes, but all broken bones have healed completely. Once again, doctors will have no medical explanation for how this is possible. Welcome to the miracle club.

Answering the Call [17 Apr 2009|06:53pm]
Who: Leto and a surprising talk with some NPCs
When: Around 9:30
Where: Her room, the medical station

Leto hadn't slept much, and neither had her son. The hours that had followed since midnight of the first had been spent in utter hell. Levon's behavior... had been absolutely terrifying ever since. It wasn't what he was doing or saying that bothered her - it was what he wasn't. He wasn't her energetic, brave little boy who spent every waking second exhausting those around him. All of his attention was dedicated to his visitors, and he apparently had a lot of them. He'd barely said a word to her in the last three days, and before this, he'd barely shut up ever since he learned to talk.

She hadn't told her father or her brother about what he had said. When her father had commented on how oddly distracted Levon seemed, it had been easy to say it was from the trauma. She didn't want them to know about this. She wanted to take her son home, and get him away from this horrible place.

She had attempted to talk to Azi again, the one person who she felt was probably prepared to deal with this, only to find out he was one of the people that had gone missing. Her plan now was simply to get through this. She hated herself for ever bringing him here.

Surprise! )

Facing the Dragon In His Lair [17 Apr 2009|08:11pm]
Who: Nik
Where: I 1028 - The Titans
When: Noonish

More people were missing. Nobody knew where the cruise director was. Zoe had gone looking for her to ask about a performance she was scheduled for later in the week. She was having trouble convincing herself this was all for some greater good and it was just the turning of the Wheel.

Besides, she had a plan to put into action. And cooking Dim Sum was time consuming and distracting. Especially enough for Nik to share with his brothers if they were there. So it'd taken her the better part of the morning. But, hey, she hadn't panicked about the whole people disappearing thing.

Now all she had to worry about was Nik freaking out on her. Okay, not going there. Like she had told Ios, positive outlook, positive outcome. And Nik had been nice to her. Twice. Which was apparently something that should be marked on the calendar from the impression she'd gotten from his brother.

Now, armed with a couple of cake pans full of various types of Dim Sum, and her coins and charts tucked into her bag, she headed for Nik and Ios' room. Since she was off today, she could wear what she liked, so she'd gone more classic lolita today. A black silk blouse trimmed with billowy sleeves and black and white lace, paired with a black pencil skirt trimmed in white lace. Her favorite 3 inch platform studded boots finished the ensemble. She took a moment to rub her rabbit pendent for luck before knocking on the door.
