Where: The Paramour

Oh to be invited to the theater! And to convince Rook to come along with him. It almost felt like a dream. He hadn't been to the theater in ages, even for a show like the one Joseph had spoken of. It felt like drifting off to the Moulin Rouge to take in the show there. He had remembered Valentin le désossé who hadn't been a particularly attractive man but the way he could dance the cancan had been utterly tremendous. Modern people seemed to obsess over the sexual aspects of the old hall but it had been an opportunity for art, a haven for the odd and different. Ash was honestly expecting the same tonight.
He had dressed comfortably and had suggested that Rook did the same. There would be eyes on them one way or another considering Ash's status and the fact that they were getting a VIP box at Joseph's behest. And when they had arrived, the Paramour hadn't looked very impressive - the brownstone front blended in with every other building in front of it. But once you were inside, it all started coming together. The burgundy coloring and faux gold neo-baroque were almost too much but it played once again on old memories.
Ash tightened his arm around Rook's, leaning against him and smiling up at his lover. Clearly, he was pleased as punch. He didn't even have to say anything before they were getting a blood doll escort up to the box. And from the looks of a few scratches on her hands, there'd been a bit of a fight about it. Very amusing. "If you feel overwhelmed at any point," he murmured to Rook, "Take my necklace. I brought it for you." And that explained the dozens of keys hanging around his neck that he didn't actually need for anything.
