MacKenzie looked pleased at Ash's praise which mollified her from Joseph cutting her off. "I'll be happy to demonstrate if you like," she offered with a wicked smile.
Chantal smiled and nodded to Ash. "Like Mackie said," she replied. "Just ask."
Joseph chuckled and reached up to cup her face. "Chantal's voice not only takes you to church, it puts you on your knees and makes you confess your sins."
She laughed and blushed slightly. "Was he always this bad?" she asked Ash. Chantal had only been in the company a couple of years and it was clear from the way they interacted, the Toreador and Brujah had some history.
The light clicked on when Rook mentioned Mab and Joseph was almost embarrassed at the oversight. "Now I make the connection," he admitted wryly. "Sorry, my mind's been distractible lately. Mab did briefly mention you. There wasn't much conversation going on, save to see how eagerly her requests were filled. You better watch out Ash, she may overtake you as their favorite."
