Moonlight enhanced the beauty of Danerys silver mane. She resembled some beautiful other-world creature. During the day when she ventured out, people stared at her, which made her uncomfortable. All she knew was how to be a Queen, this place was confusing.

There were no slaves here, at least from what she could tell, that made her happy, there was no war; and no explanation as to why any of them were here. Having dragons was an ice breaker but it didn't help her make friends.

Dani was totally miserable. She wanted love in her life again, but on this island that seemed impossible.

She felt the dragons call. Her lids fluttered closed as she let their songs calm her.

The mother of dragons changed into changed into the winter clothes she found in her closet, made her way out of her room, down to the lobby, out of the building and finally onto the beach. The weather didn't matter, she had to take care of the dragons. In this weather they wouldn't be out long.

Above her she could hear the dragon wings as the cut through the air. She also heard the gurgle in his throat and the fire that followed. They were growing up too fast. For now she had a few minutes warmth.

Ponytail bouncing as she walked, it projected a false look of happiness. Sookie Stackhouse learned how to pretend she was happy when she wasn't. When she arrived in the place she assumed Eric would find a way to be here with her.

But as the days became months she realized that just possibly she had been a love the one you are with. Vampires had different ideas about sex. Gender didn't matter to them, probably animal too – but only if they were desperate.

She had always been a naive little fairy, that was true, she was stronger now, in everything except Eric. Maybe, she thought, she should just let some random vampire drain her dry. She'd have to think about that one.

She shook her blood head back and forth to chase that thought out of her head.

Rinsing her face with cool water, she felt better, I should get some food she thought.

She showered and changed as if she were getting ready for a date. Once she looked her best, she was out the door ready to find a good place to find a good place to eat.
