Jocelyn loved the smell of fall in New York. It was such an invigorating smell. Actually, the Shadow Hunter loves everything about living in NYC. What made it best was Clary’s birthday.

Jocelyn was on a beach, alone, a beach she did not recognize. She doubted Valentine could find her; if he couldn’t find her; none of them could.

She took it upon herself to find someone to help her out.

The dark slayer studied the bar from the street. Merlotte's had a nice southern charm to it; Faith figured this would be a very interesting place to spend an evening.
