"What the hell?” Sookie muttered as she walked up the path. One moment she was in a pasture and the next she was ... in this place. Stumbling, it took her a minute to regain her balance, she hadn't mastered running at top speed and then stopping.
If it hadn't been for her hand, she would have taken a spill. Then she waited. Her head moved forward, tilted to the side and peered into nothing.
All Sookie heard was the sound of the waves. “Well Damn,” she muttered. Still pounding from fright, her heart almost stood still. Quietly she sighed and shrugging her shoulders when she realized there would be no Bill and no Eric.
