HOTH: DAY 7
Hello? Your paper plane is mine now, mystery thrower, so I hope it wasn't meant for someone else? I have a letter, a map, a sending stone that isn't much of a stone at all, and a very basic understanding of what in the hells is going on right now. So I've managed to go from world-ending catastrophe to, uh, pocket dimension-ending catastrophe? I suppose that leaves me with two real questions:

How bad is it on a scale from one to ancient dragons? And has anyone seen my sister? Looks like me, but with a braid. Likes to shoot things with arrows?

I feel as if - “depends on the week” is the appropriate answer here.

The exact opposite of comforting. Where is this week falling on the scale for you? Just so I have a place to start measuring from.

Well, I don’t think we’re at ancient dragon levels? But I also have pointedly avoiding the deadly cold outside. Oh and the Snow Sasquatches.

So on a scale from one to ancient dragon, we're at snow sasquatches. I really hate how much sense this scale makes to me and I'm having some regrets about making it.

I mean someone could have warned you but where’s the fun in that? I now have to know if ancient dragons are a thing that you run into regularly?

I think that someone is you? Congratulations! And regularly, no. More often than I'd like as of late? Absolutely. I take it they're less of a concern where you're from?

You're welcome?

Alas, no ancient dragons. Or maybe that's a good thing. Sasquatch is supposedly a thing where I come from, but not a thing has ever seen or been bothered or attacked by - unlike our Snowy Friends.

Everyone needs a bearer of bad news, and it looks like you're mine.

It's definitely a good thing. And no yetis? They seem nearly the same as what you're calling sasquatches, at least. What about basilisks? Orcs? Mind flayers?

Fantastic, I sincerely hope you will not hold it against me. I promise I'm actually fun.

The snow sasquatches have some official name, but I rather feel as if they may be my fault as I said something about snow sasquatches as a joke early on, and so I keep calling them that. So far as I can tell - on this planet anyway, none of the others. Which, I hope because I sort of left the Sword of Gryffindor in my other cape.

Time will tell. ...no, I'm sure you're lovely. Unless you just keep bringing more bad news and no fun, in which case I'm going to change my mind.

Oh, I mostly meant to ask if you had seen or been bothered or attacked by any of the other things. Should we be, ah... finding you another sword? I'm sure someone's already been helping you do that.

How do you feel about music and dancing? Or movies. I have some of all of the above to offer.

No, at least not since I've been here. And unless you want me to perform Act 5 of Hamlet, there's no point in giving me a sword. It'd probably just end similarly tbh.

Music and dancing yes, movies you'll have to explain.

This is where I nod and smile and make you believe I've seen a play I've never heard of that I assume ends poorly for the one with the sword, right?

Movies are like plays, only not in person. And unfortunately I've got a tiny screen to watch them on, but we can make do.

They don't have Shakespeare where you're from? Darling -- I have so many amazing things to show you.

Well, look at it this way. I have no idea what you're talking about so there's no way for me to be disappointed by your tiny screen. Bright side, yeah?

Look at you, already more fun than bad news. Unless it turns out I really hate Shakespeare, in which case you're still treading the middle ground.

I am feeling that there is a high likelihood that we find something that you'll like in all of this, so I'm optimistic.

Welcome to Delerth I guess?
