HOLY CRAP, Mystery Vidder! This is intensely brilliant!

I watched the original first, and yes, cracky parody is cracky, but also... not. Because this is perfect in all its DEEP, DRAMATIC, HEART-WRINGING SERIOUSNESS. Man, it's like fictional Essen was just made for dramatic striding and angry emotional phone calls and the world tilting on its axis in ever person's expression! I am so in awe of this editing! The clips work perfectly together, the momentum is so intense and engaging, and like Shelly said, the little story arcs all interlacing like some intricate latticework are BRILLIANT!

There's the DeRoMarc stuff, of course, which is as stabby and breathtaking as ever - I love the moments you've chosen, especially Roman's scenes in his J'aime Paris shirt, and Deniz and Marc striding towards each other; but ooh, then there's MaJe and it ends with Marian being miserable and Jenny being strong, YAY!!!

And La Lena! I've liked her for a while now but I never knew how much I needed her in a fan video! What gorgeous scenes to choose - like with MaJe, I love that you've chosen bits where she's obviously being torn apart but coming out strong. Juliette has such an expressive face and those shots were just perfect.

And do I spot Katja getting totally walked out on by Tom??? And a hint of a genuine happy ending, or at least a genuine chance, for Ben and Izzie??? OMG I must go right back and rewatch to catch all the glimpses and nuances, but I loved those shots of them towards the end so much... Tom walking out without a second glance and his breakdown in the lift, and Izzie showing up to face Ben. BEAUTIFUL!!

OFF TO REWATCH ON LOOP!!!

OMG THIS IS BRILLIANT! Yeah, I totally love the parody angle - wow, if all angsty/impatient/heartbroken moods could be framed by such pretty and dramatic walking, I could people-watch all day and the WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE. At the same time, there's so much power in those scenes. You can parody them as much as you want (brilliantly, did I mention that?) but you can't take away from the actors and the scenes the intensity of emotion and talent that's involved. This vid makes me intensely aware of my love for the show - which is a huge accomplishment above and beyond what you've done with the characters and the music and the continuity and the funny...

This is amazing! And yes, I'll admit that I lined up two windows side by side so I could watch them simultaneously. AHAHAHAHAHAH THAT WAS FUN! I absolutely love the scenes you've picked, Mystery Vidder, all the ones guaranteed to pack the hardest punch. The RoMarc stuff was especially ouchie, but the MaJe stuff... for a minute there you actually had me hurting for them again and wishing those crazy kids could have just worked things out. (Then I remembered Marian's struggle with assholism and shoved that thought away.) Love the editing and the pace of this, just love it!!

I have no ~dramatic~ walking icons, so ~dramatic~ irony will have to do.

This is simply wonderful. I watched the original vid first and then yours. This works as both a parody and it stands on its own as well. I was both amused and touched all at the same time. Mystery vidder, this is really beautifully done - well thought out and well edited. I love all the angsty story arcs included- Marian/Jenny, Deniz/Roman/Marc, Lena/Max, Ben/Tom? (lol) and Mike! The way all the clips are interwoven works perfectly. I am in awe of your skills.

Mystery vidder, you have no idea how much I love your work. Aaagh, the dramatic walking, and how the way they walk reflect each of the characters' personality, and yay, of course for Jenny coming on strong in the end, and damn Roman and your J'aime Paris shirt and I could go and on, but don't want to repeat what everyone else has said already.
Except, that for me too, the thing that I love more than everything about it is, that it has all characters in it.
For me it is somehow the woobie counterpart to Shelly's "The best we've ever had". While that one is always sure to put a big fat smile on my face, yours will always be good for a few tears in my eyes.
Those two pieces will forever belong together in my book, the yin and the yang of the show.
