"I am terrified by this dark thing
That sleeps in me;
All day I feel its soft, feathery turnings, its malignity."
— Sylvia Plath, excerpt of Elm

Wow, I step away for a minute and see all the angry little women pounce on my comment.

I'd say both, since her subject matter was generally inspired by her battle. Are you going to answer the question?

In the interest of not fomenting further ire aimed in your general direction, I'd caution you against using the phrase 'angry little women' in the future.

I appreciate your answering my question first. In regards to your question, much like a variety of other thoughts they come and go at their leisure.

At least I'm saying women and not girls. They appreciate that, right?

Well that's a vague answer if I ever saw one. Is it just for attention then?

That is true, perhaps they will appreciate that.

How is it vague? I've had suicidal thoughts before, and the scars to prove it, I feel a connection to the excerpt. I felt others might as well, hence my decision to share it.

How is it not vague?

"Why do you like pizza?"
"Much like a variety of other food, I eat it sometimes and sometimes I don't at my leisure."

Your second answer is a little better. I responded so I guess it got my attention. Can't say I ever had suicidal thoughts except when my dad t, but I appreciate the whole "you're not alone" sentiment. I'm sure it helps.

...touché

I can't believe I'm laughing at that.
Though, that is some expert-level mockery right there, and I do respect your calling me out on it.

I could easily reply with something trite like 'and now that I have your attention my night has been made', but knowing my luck you might take that as flirting or something equally ridiculous. I'm glad you haven't had them, as they can be quite difficult to move on from, and if my admitting that I feel that way every so often can help someone else then I'll feel as though I accomplished something.

You mean you weren't flirting with me this whole time?

Perhaps I was... are latent suicidal tendencies one of your turn-ons, Mister Harper?
