WARNINGS: Hopefully kissies and maybe smutties?

Upon hearing that Ariadne had been abandoned by her loser of a date, Tuck had wanted to offer to show up and try to salvage what was left of her evening. She could rant to him and he would try to make her night not a disaster. Of course then she went and invited him and offered him dumplings!

What a delight!

He pulled on what he hoped was a nice shirt and was out the door before he could think twice about it, but not without a goodbye snuggle from Flora. When he walked into the restaurant, he found Ariadne easily. "Hey, you," he said, offering her a hug if she wanted it.

Oh, that view. Tuck glanced at her cleavage and then he gave her a winning smile. "It's a deal then! I'll give you the grand tour." He was going to end in the guest room, though. There was just something about sleeping with someone else in the bed he shared with Will- It didn't seem right unless Will was involved too. And yes, technically the guest room was the nursery, but there currently wasn't a baby in it, so it was fine.

Ooh, tongues could be going sensitive places, could they? Ariadne wiggled her eyebrow at him, amused and turned on in equal measures, which was one of her favourite states to be. "Good then," she said, sliding her leg forward between his, and lifting her wine glass at the same speed she lifted her ankle, running it up the inside of his leg. "Glad we're on the same page. Makes me wonder what else we'll have in common."

Tuck let out a gusty breath at her ankle running up his leg. Yes. Yes, this was such a perfect surprise. And he hoped, a good way to salvage a ruined date for her! "Well let's see-" Tuck said with a grin, and he hel up one finger, "we both care about people," he held up another, "we both like spicy food," another, "a mutual attraction to Will Scarlet! Tell me, are you an ice cream after sex kind of person? Because I have cherry blossom and vanilla bean ice cream I made in my freezer."

	"Sticky can be good if it involves ice cream!" Tuck chuckled. He ate another bite and sighed happily. The curry really was delicious but now he kind of wanted to get home... "Then do it, Friar," she said with another smile, holding out her hand and feeling warm and touched as his fingers wrapped around her. She stroked the back of his hand with her thumb, exploring the feel of his skin, the bump of his knuckles. "Hands are so sexy," she said, thoughtfully, watching their fingers together. "There's so much life on display in the hands. Each callus, each line, each scar. Don't you think?"

	He had been working on his arms, but he didn't think that work extended to the forearms! "You can touch me all you like," he said, his voice low. "Do I? I never really thought about them before!" His were scarred up from the forest and three years on the streets and time with the sheriff, but each scar told a story. "You have very nice fingers. ...oh boy." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

She smiled in thanks at his compliment, in smug thanks, because the oh boy was a whole another kind of compliment. "You haven't, huh? We'll, I'll think about them," she said, stroking her fingers up the inside of his forearm to the crook in his arm, then very lightly dragging her fingernails back down to his wrist and over his palm. Scars didn't faze her, signs of pain were signs of survival, and survival was something to be honoured, after all.

Ariadne grinned and speared the last momo, popping it into her mouth, then held up one wait finger and finished the last of her wine. There was quite a bit left in the glass, but she was Dionysus' wife, what was the point of that if she couldn't neatly skull a glass of wine? "Now I'm ready. Shall we split this down the middle? Or I can get the wine, since I had most of it."

Ariadne wasn't unsteady - it would take more than a bottle shared over dinner to do that to her - but she took the hand all the same. She was glad he hadn't come to rescue her from some fancier place where the bill would have stung, she was glad she'd picked this place, and generally her tastes ran to cheap and cheerful. And spicy.

Her phone buzzed in her bag as Tuck was paying and she pulled it out, biting her lip fondly at the series of images Dionysus was sending her. I'm about to have dessert too she sent back, with a series of eggplants and tongues before slipping the phone back into her bag.

"All good?" she smiled, looking up at Tuck again as he finished paying.

"All good," he said, sliding his wallet back into his pocket and then reaching for her hand again. Wandering through the night towards his parsonage, hand in hand with a beautiful woman was such a nice feeling.

"I love nighttime," he said randomly as they walked. "I mean...and not just because it makes it far easier to hide from soldiers who are hunting you down! It always feels more intimate."

"I do love the sun," Ariadne said, tipping her head back to look up at the sky, dark and a little cloudy, the lower clouds glowing with the light of the city. "But I'm a big fan of intimacy, and hiding from soldiers - do I need to keep an eye out, for soldiers?" The question was only mostly a joke. She was pretty certain if there'd been any danger, Tuck wasn't the type to drag her into it.

	She took a moment before answering, watching his face in the warm glow of the streetlights and raising a hand to touch him, and the shadows his smile made in his cheeks. Gods, she loved a face that was allowed to show its laugh lines. "You may," she said, her eyes moving to his lips, her other hand moving to his hip, and she let him lean in and kiss her. A soft sound of approval slipped out of her mouth as he pulled her closer, and Ariadne opened her mouth a little more, exploring the shape of his lips to begin with, then moving a little deeper and exploring the rest of his mouth as well. Oh, and his tongue. "Mmmm, thank you for coming to my rescue tonight," she murmured against him, sliding her hands around his back.
