Friar Tuck Everlasting ([info]friartuck) wrote in [info]nevermore_logs,

Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Entry tags:friar tuck, will scarlet

WHO: Will Scarlet and Friar Tuck, with maybe saint Francis
WHEN: Saturday, early morning and I'll link this when I have a computer on Thursday
WHERE: parsonage
WHAT: aftermath of gluttony
WARNINGS: Drugs, descriptions of non-con sex

The moment Tuck escaped from the Lyft he had called to Rex's place, he stumbled up the path to the parsonage, and he threw up in a bush. He felt awful and disgusted and a kind of all over numbness which fogged his mind. Trying to reach for any thoughts that weren't 'oh god why' was like trying to catch smoke. So he lay there for a time, as the sky lightened, smelling sick in his nose, his body throbbing with pain.

He had to move. He had to get inside.

Tuck groaned as he rose, stumbling to the door. He was filthy and he knew it, and all he wanted was to climb into his bathtub and sit under the water. God, maybe he should run a bath and let himself drown.

The only reason he didn't, was because the thought of Will finding him like that was too painful.

Instead, Tuck slipped inside quietly, padding as silently as he could to the ensuite bathroom. He didn't notice Flora, their wee dog, sit up excitedly as he did so. He just shucked his clothes onto the floor, planning to burn them and the disgusting stains that were no doubt inside later. He turned the shower on and climbed into the tub, sitting under the stream with his arms around his knees. He didn't notice he was shaking, or the awful pink swirl of water making it's way from between his legs to the drain. He just sat there and tried not to scream.

In the bedroom, Flora was now bouncing all over Will, because Tuck was home and he hadn't patted her. Someone was going to take up the slack, so she nosed him until he awoke

Will snorted. "I'd like to see you try," he said, throwing Tuck a sardonic look as he got up to find the first aid kit. "Him maybe. Not me."

He came back with the kit and set it down on the table, sitting back down next to Tuck. "You won't be going back there. You need to be here. And... I hate to say it, but do we need medical attention to your injury? Last thing I want is you going septic. I do not- I can not have you dying in my arms again." There would be no repeats of that on his watch, no sir.

Tuck squeezed his eyes shut and he shuddered a little. "I-" Oh God this was awful. Will had said he was bleeding, and Tuck had a horrible idea what injury Will was talking about.

"I'm afraid," Tuck admitted. "I was on a natural pain killer at the time, and even then it hurt. Even through the euphoria of my high. You do not want to know what he used as...as lube." If it could even he called that. Tuck certainly didn't think so.

Will grimaced with disgust, because his imagination was taking that and running with it. Butter? Bacon grease?? Salad dressing??? Maybe he did want to know, just so he'd stop imagining the worst.

He looked up at Francis again. "Do you know anyone discreet who could maybe-" He wiggled his fingers, indicating a quick, magic fix. Surely there were a handful of saints around that could do that shit. Michael even, despite it not being his speciality. If they could just deal with the risk of blood poisoning, since they had enough to worry about already.

"Not anyone in the city," Francis said, "but I worked at a clinic in San Francisco during the AIDS epidemic, and I know how to treat an anal fissure. Just give me a moment," he said, trending to his wounds first. "I know a clinic here who can get the right treatment. But we do need to know how bad it is."

Tuck groaned, because he just wanted to ignore it. "He made it worse the second time." He leaned forward, resting his head on the table. "Maybe if I died, I wouldn't feel so horrible." It was a terribly selfish thing to say, but he was all pumped full of selfishness.

Ugh, did Francis have to actually say the words out loud? Will grimaced again, and looked across to Tuck slumped over the table. "You wouldn't feel any better. Dying sucks. Don't do it. What if you came back looking like a badger?" He was trying to joke a little to encourage another smile and make this not feel so awful all over.

Tuck did snort, and it echoed against the table he was lying on. "Fuck off," he said, fondly.

Slowly, he raised his head again and he nodded. "Let's just get it over with," he sighed. "Will, are you... Is this going to make you too angry?" He really didn't want Francis looking at his arse, no matter how much he loved his saint.

Will took a breath. "I'm at a level of fury now where I am calm again," he said, holding out a hand to show how steady it was. "I've gone beyond the scale already. This can't make it any worse. But you just tell me where you want me and I will be there."

Tuck was all too aware what that level of fury meant, and it was likely a good thing he couldn't be left alone or Will would already be off trying to gut a sin.

"Come here," Tuck held out his hands to draw Will close, and he leaned his forehead up against Will's. "You're everything to me," he murmured. "Everything."

Will worked his jaw, intense emotions swirling. "This will not go unanswered," he promised. "When you are better. He won't make you or anyone else suffer again." He squeezed Tuck's hands. He wanted Tuck to know that Will would protect him, no matter what. It was his way of saying that Tuck was everything to him too.

Tuck knew exactly what Will was saying without saying it. He let that quiet him for a moment, and connect him to his body in ways he hadn't been connected since meeting Rex. "I believe you," Tuck whispered. "I believe in you."

Their quiet moment over though, Tuck sighed and he stood up. "Bedroom then?" There was blood on the towel where he had been sitting on it, which Francis caught sight of and grimaced. "I only want you, Will."

Will nodded and stood up too. "Alright. As you wish." He picked up the towel, folding it inward to hide the stain. He would wash his hands first, to make sure they were clean and not about to introduce any new germs. He didn't want to be giving orders either, in case it triggered Tuck to his ordeal. "On the bed might be best."

This was awful. There wasn't any other way to phrase it, it was just fucking awful. Tuck felt like he might cry again, as he nodded and crawled into the bed so Will could check him out.

"Can you just...talk to me, so I know it's you?" Tuck asked, since his face was towards the mattress. It was a little too reminiscent of what he had just been through, only no one was being rough. He wasn't being shoved into the bed.

Will was reluctant to touch Tuck much at all, but this was necessary. He found a t-shirt and passed it to Tuck, in case it would help to not be completely nude.

"Okay, I'm just going to have a look," he said, going around the bed to investigate. "I'm going to put my hand just here, okay? Just a little bit. Okay there's a little blood and a split but it doesn't look like a lot of damage, just kinda sore. I mean not just sore but, you know... I'm not sure, I can't see inside..." Will didn't want to penetrate and be more invasive, partly because he didn't know what he was looking for and didn't think it'd be a help. "I think going to that clinic might be a good idea. Just to be safe. Uh- What are we going to do in the mean time..." He stepped back and looked around, considering. "There are some sanitary pads in the main bathroom, remember Addy left some here? Would that be a good idea?"

Tuck groaned and he hid his face in his hands. He did not want to go to a fucking clinic. He did not want to wear a sanitary pad to keep blood out of his underwear. He didn't want to be dealing with any of this.

He rolled to his side then, curling up on the mattress until his knees reached his chin. He was so thin that when he curled up like that he looked tiny. He absolutely didn't know how to respond to what Will had asked him, so he just lay there, naked, sort of staring off into the middle distance as he wrapped his arms around his legs.

Will looked at Tuck in distress. Should he call Francis in? God, this wasn't right. Tuck looked so vulnerable, naked like that, and Will couldn't just leave him like that. He grabbed the spare blanket that was folded onto a chair on the side and flicked it over Tuck to cover him, drawing it around his shoulders. Gently he stroked Tuck's head and leaned in to kiss his temple, unable to say anything because his heart was breaking for how haunted Tuck's eyes were.

It took a while, lying like that in silence, just staring ahead at nothing. And then eventually Tuck reached out for Will's leg and he sort of wrapped one arm around it. He felt sick again, those apples sitting uncomfortably in his belly which was churning with horror.

Maybe- Maybe if he just slid right out of his head, he wouldn't have to experience any of this. If he just kept staring into the middle distance until his brain cleared and there was nothing-

How could he really explain this to Will? That if Rex had let him top instead of insisting on doing so, he would be feeling vastly different. That Tuck had begged for more at first, and only objected once the positioning became clear. It all felt so fucked up, and just lying there and willing himself to go catatonic was better than trying to parse through it.

Tuck wasn't usually a quiet person. He was a gifted orator, and he loved using flowery language and cute petnames when he spoke to Will. He spoke or hummed or sang all the time, and now he felt struck dumb by this. And he knew it would be disconcerting for Will, and he couldn't bring himself to care.

Instead he started to cry again, though this time softly, tears just slowly falling down his cheeks. He pulled his arms back and rolled over so that he was a little further away from Will. God, he just wanted to sleep. Preferably for a very long time.

Will stood with Tuck for a long while, one hand reassuringly on his shoulder, until Tuck rolled away from him. It was so quiet in the room and hard to break the silence, and it tore at him that he didn't know what to do or say to make this better.

Francis. Can you give him sleep? He needs rest and peace. Please, he prayed, unable to move away from Tuck to ask in person. He couldn't leave Tuck alone. He'd promised he wouldn't, and that was all he had.

A moment later, Francis entered the room, and he acknowledged Will with a nod. He crossed the room, around to where Tuck was lying, but he wasn't going to use his influence on the man without consent. So much had already been done to Tuck without his consent and Francis couldn't bear to add to it.

"Michael, you need rest," he said gently. "You don't have to say anything or even nod. But if you want me to help you sleep, just blink at me once, alright? And I'll make sure your dreams are peaceful." He couldn't do it all the time, it took a lot out of him. But for Tuck, he would do pretty much anything he could.

Francis watched Tuck's face, and a moment later, Tuck blinked once at him. "Good, Michael. That's really good," he said, reaching out to lay a hand on his shoulder again. He let peace and love and kindness flow through his touch into Tuck, who let out a soft, pleased sigh. And before Francis could even lift his hands up again, Tuck had stretched out and he was asleep.

Expelling a breath at the wave of dizziness that passed over him, Francis glanced over at Will. He knew the bandages on his wrists would be growing red with blood again, after such a use of power, but he could deal with that in a moment.

"We should talk," he said quietly, to Will. "Michael will sleep now for hours."

Will was reluctant to leave, since he'd promised, so he hesitated a moment until he came up with a solution. Whistling for Flora, he commanded her up onto the bed to lie at Tuck's back. "Guard," he said softly, giving the dog a pat, and then finally left the room to return to his now cold cup of tea. He didn't say anything for a minute as he put both mugs into the microwave to reheat.

"What am I supposed to do now," he said after a minute. He felt so angry and sad and frustrated and he didn't know how to express any of it.

Well wasn't that just a question fraught with troubled answers. And honestly, Francis didn't know for sure. He was the kind of person who responded with empathy in the moment. But not everyone could do that.

"Well first things first, we get him through the next few days. I'll stay here unless either of you want me to leave. I have texted my contact at the clinic and he's going to deliver some treatment here. No reason to put Michael through a visit, considering how he's-" Francis heaved a heavy sigh, and he wondered how to phrase the next question.

"I know you both have such history together. Centuries of it. And I know you've been through some truly terrible times, and weathered so many things. Has he ever shut down on you like this before?" Because he had to Francis. And if Will hadn't experienced it, Francis was going to have to describe it.

"Not... not in recent memory." Will couldn't definitively say never. There had been times after the war when things had been a bit dire but they'd all felt it. And there had been other traumas, but none of them had r- Will had to swallow back on that word. It was hard to even think it. "Not since we've been closer these past few years."

"It used to happen when we were together in San Francisco, both as friends and while we were in a relationship. Every year, on his kid's birthdays. He would tell me he didn't have the drugs any more, so he couldn't dull the pain. It was easier to just...let his mind slide away. It never lasted too long, but this- I can see him starting, and I- I worry how long he might take to come back. After something like this-" Francis shook his head. Those long days and nights had been awful, though in turn Tuck had nursed him through his feast days and so he never complained.

Will set the mugs down on the table and sat down, gesturing for Francis to do the same. He was no medical professional, and he couldn't fix it, but he didn't want to lose Tuck to this. They'd been kidnapped and imprisoned before, they'd been tormented, but none of that was the same as this. He clenched his fist on the table, tapping it a few times.

"We need the Sin's influence to be gone before we can address the rest of it, the parts that are actually part of Tuck. The sooner the better." He regretted that Temperance wasn't within reach, and that he couldn't end the influence by ending the Sin. "I'm not going to lose him. He made me promise not to leave him, and that means he doesn't leave me either."

Francis sat and he reached for the tea, but he used it to warm his hands instead of to drink. He felt stormy inside, troubled in ways he ever so rarely was. "You will not lose him," Francis promised Will, because anything else was unthinkable. "I will do everything in my power to make sure of it. So we help him weather the next few days, and then we reassess."

He looked appraisingly at Will, and then he said, "you should eat something." He needed to say more but it sounded like Will had woken up to this nightmare and he needed to take care of himself too.

Will chuckled bitterly. "I will eat. So should you have something, don't think I can't see your wrists there." He pointed out the bloodstains seeping through the bandages. "I have to believe he will be better once he is more himself. He's been through it with his addiction before and stayed strong. We'll get him there together." He gave Francis a firm nod and sipped his tea to show he was putting something in his stomach.
