WHO: Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet, Erato, Asterion, Robin Hood.
WHEN: Saturday evening
WHERE: Parsonage
WHAT: Forming plans
WARNINGS: I dunno

Asterion had let Tuck know that he was coming over while Tuck had been about to make some delicious steak for dinner. He immediately thought better of that once he knew, and stowed the steaks in the fridge for after church the next day, and ordered Chinese delivery instead - no beef. Then he called to make sure their fearless leader was on his way over as well.

"Should I provide beer?" Tuck asked Will, as he scuttled about. They entertained guests all the time, but Asterion had so few friends, Tuck wanted to make it nice for him even if they were going to talk about terrible things. "Do you think he drinks beer? Or...whiskey? Am I over thinking this?!"

Will sighed. "Thanks for that, but... I gotta. I gotta end this for everyone stuck in there. It's the right thing to do." And that really was it for them. It explained everything. He couldn't in good conscience pull out now. He knew the saints couldn't speak back to him, but having them there was something of a relief. "Guess I'll focus on keeping my stomach full before I get in. It'll be alright. It will." He gave Tuck a reassuring smile, trying to keep the fear at bay.

"Oh, you'd best believe I am going to feed you so much for the next two weeks," Tuck grumped. He agreed though. They had to do this, even if he wished this wasn't the way they had to do this.

"Find someone," Asterion spoke up. "Find someone to talk to. Best way through. Having someone to talk to. Long as they don't get taken away."

"Yeah. I hear ya." Not being alone would make all the difference. He'd never have lasted as long as he did against the Sheriff without the others. "Looks like it's still helping you."

Erato looked up and found Will was looking at her, and she flushed a little under the scrutiny. "It helps all of us," she said, because she'd have suffered far worse on her own too.

"Erato helps everything," Asterion said softly. He believed it too. "I think you will be okay. You won't be there long. And you have Tuck." Asterion wasn't used to reassuring people, though he had gotten okay with it when Erato needed it. He didn't Will very well though, but he still wanted to try. "And I- I will help you if I can."

"Exactly. Yes." Will straightened himself up, shaking off the creeping fear that had been threatening to put a damper on the mission for him. Asterion was right, it would not be for long. He'd get the job done, and when the others came in to break things up, he would be out. He just hoped that Tuck wouldn't worry too much.

Turning to Tuck, he patted the back of his shoulder and gave him a smile. "It won't be for long. We'll be alright. And we have Asterion behind the scenes too. Alright? Hunt out that egg cup and I'll smuggle it in."

Tuck had been watching Will closely, and he saw just how much Asterion's words bolstered Will's spirit. He was so grateful, but he honestly didn't know how to say it in a way that Asterion would understand, beyond, "thank you, Asterion. You're right. It won't be long. And I already shot a text to Elaine to ask her if she could recharge the egg cup," Tuck said to Will, holding up his mobile to prove he had sent it about five minutes ago. "You're taking it."

"Egg cup?" Asterion asked.

"It- It's hard to explain, but it makes porridge. Out of nowhere. Saved our lives once," Tuck explained.

"You think she can take requests? Like, maybe its soup, or spaghetti? Porridge does get... old." Will pulled a face, remembering just how much he had come to hate the taste of oatmeal by the time they escaped the Sheriff.

He then looked to Robin, resolute now in his decision. "You'll keep an eye on Tuck for me while I'm gone, won't you?"

"I can ask, love," Tuck said, though he really didn't think it worked like that. The story said porridge so it was going to be porridge.

"Fuck yes I'm going to keep an eye on him," Robin said, his tone suggesting that the fact Will thought anything else was crazy.

"If you're praying to Frannie, then he's going to stay here so I can know everything right away," Tuck said, an edge of desperation to his voice. "You can talk to me. Through him. I don't care if it's weird."

"Might be a little one-sided..." Will put his arm around Tuck's waist and gave him a squeeze, kissing his temple. "But sure, yeah. Of course I'll keep you posted." He wasn't sure how things would go once he was inside, how much he'd need to talk to people in his head and never get a response, but that the option existed did mean something. "But we've got two weeks, right? We've got time. That Chinese food must be almost here, right? I'm starved."

Well, not yet, but he'd figure that out when he was sucking bland oatmeal from an egg cup again. Sure couldn't wait for that to happen again.

Tuck checked his watch and nodded. "I ordered it for an hour so it would give us time to talk. Should be here in about five minutes." Oh he was so going to stuff Will full of food for the next two weeks. And probably cling a little. Which Will would either hate, or he would cling right back, it could go either way. Maybe some of both.

Tuck hated this. But they had to save those people. Seeing the effect the ring had had on Asterion was sobering. Asterion was as tough as they came. He said himself he had never lost a fight down there. And he was still too shaken to even think about going back to help in a fight. They needed to take everyone out of that situation as soon as they could.
