What an amazing response!
George sat staring at the notes she'd taken that night with Dr Kuo, going over a number of the things he's said in her head, making sure she had a good grasp on the information and of course his intonations as he'd said them. Intonation and his body language was so important.
She'd learnt over the years that watching someone as they spoke was even more important than the words they said. Intonation and good old fashioned body language would reveal more about a person's real thoughts and plans than the actual words, or at least give a good indication of whether they were telling the truth, or trying to hide something. Building a level of comfort with an interview candidate was also important, helping them feel comfortable and secure enough to give the information freely and honestly.
She sighed happily as she finally put the notes aside, slipping them into a folder with the doctor's name on it, ready for easy finding later. She pulled her diary towards her and flipped it open, scanning the entries in it for the next few days. She wondered whether she should have spread them out a little more but decided it was best to strike while the iron was hot, and with the numbers of people who were coming out of the woodwork to talk she was sure that the iron was well and truly hot!
It was only as she was running her finger down the list of appointments that she realised something else. She flicked the screen on, glancing back at the appointments and what she'd written down as the flatscreen came to life. Into the journal and scrolling and yes, there it was. Jeff Novak. She'd only written his name down as Jeff when first filling out her planner, but it was another situation where the spouse of someone who'd offered to talk with her had also done the same. She leaned back in her chair and smiled to herself, nodding slowly. Getting the story from both sides of the coin was going to be a great benefit and she reached over and flicked off the screen again.
Now, to sleep, given that she had a very busy day scheduled ahead of her!
