Dear Mr Wea Percy,

I hope this owl finds you well, and not too terribly busy at the Ministry.

I just wanted to write to say that I enjoyed dancing with you at the Fly With Pride Gala on Friday evening, and hope that the rest of your night was pleasant. Which is not to say that I think I was what made it pleasant Merlin, why am I doing this

All the best,
Ainsley

Hello!

Tried my hand at donair. It's tasty (to me), but I have no idea if it's right.

Feel free to be brutally honest.

Ms. Galbraith Ainsley,
It was a welcome break in the day when I received your note and the enclosed chocolate frog. I am pleased to say that I have added a completely new card to my collection. So I thank you.

Warm Regards,
Percy Weasley

Percy,

How fortuitous! Which one did you get?

Best,
Ainsley

(It's fairy obvious that this was dashed off quickly; the handwriting is a little messier, and the paper looks like it was rained on a bit.)

Ainsley,
Bowman Wright, the inventor of the golden snitch.

I shall not keep you, but thank you once again for your kind note.

Sincerely,
Percy Weasley

5 December (with the morning post)

Percy,

That seems serendipitous to me somehow- or at least quite fitting.

Do you know, I wasn't aware of the historical significance of the Snitch until I got to Hogwarts and finally got my hands on Quidditch Through the Ages? I really can't imagine trying to play the game with a living animal. The poor things must have been terrified!

Wishing you a good day ahead,
Ainsley

P.S. - Couldn't Didn't sleep much last night, and- do forgive me- it's probably a bit mad, but I thought I'd send one along, since I was inspired.

Ainsley,
Please do not apologise. The cookie was delicious and enjoyed alongside my mid-morning tea.

I imagine I was probably one of the few that read Quidditch Through the Ages cover to cover multiple times prior to entering Hogwarts. I don't think the consequences of using a snidget really hit me until then, however.

I do hope you had a good practice,
Percy Weasley

Percy,

I'm so glad. They went over rather well with PoP as well. I think this may be my new strategy if/when I get traded again- I'll just cook and bake my way into everyone's good graces. And practice went fairly well, all things considered. Thank you very much for asking.

I had no real notion of playing before I went to school, if I'm honest. I loved the game before- who doesn't, really?- but didn't realize how different playing it would feel. I was completely hooked after my first actual flying lesson- something that wasn't just one of those toys that only float a couple of feet off the ground. I've never really looked back since.

Do you find it the same with your Ministry work? How is it going as Deputy Head?

I hope you don't mind these owls. I know there are journal wards, but I rather enjoy the relative novelty of sending an actual letter.

Wishing you a pleasant evening,
Ainsley

Ainsley,
I do believe that would be an excellent strategy should you find yourself on a new team. Good food is always welcome by the right people.

I have always enjoyed the game, but I unfortunately was never a good flier. I spent my spare time coming up with strategies with roommates in Hogwarts, with varying degrees of success.

As for the Ministry, I always imagined that I would join it, though I am surprised that I found myself enjoying DOMGAS as much as I do. I have found many joys and challenges in my position as Deputy Head for International Quidditch.

There is something a hand written letter can convey that a journal cannot. I certainly do not mind these owls.

Warmly,
Percy

Ainsley,

These are brilliant. Quite close to what I can get back home and definitely filled my craving.

You know what they say, give a moose a donair....

See you at practice,

Pip
