Anyone else having a Case of The Mondays*?

*: yes I mean hung over at work, sorry Aunt Una, I'm having so much coffee I am doing all work don't worry haha I'm great no really super super fine.

Had the worst date last night.

Okay not worst worst, but really bad.

So mum set me up on a date last night. I really should know better at this point, but I was getting desperate with only Razor for companionship and well, I figured, what could it hurt? I guess I should have cleared with her ahead of time what her version of an appropriate date would be. She said he was announcer. I didn't realize he would be an announcer FRIEND OF DAD. He was 56, which I know it's not polite to judge someone based on age, but he was also a very overweight 56. And bald. And he fell asleep at the table during dinner. Oh, he's narcoleptic, I forgot that bit.

I tried to sneak out the bathroom during dessert and caught my heel on the window and went tumbling into the bushes, ripping my dress open. I gave Diagon an excellent view of my knickers before I could apparate home and finish a bottle of wine, which I now regret.

I don't know why I leave the house sometimes.

Yeah well, I probably wouldn't have chosen a Sunday date but hey, beggers can't be choosers. Or maybe I shouldn't beg? Anyway, no more set ups from mum for me.

I woke him up because I was afraid he'd drown. I actually made it through two more courses so you should be proud of me.

Lex. Who do you think you're talking to? My life's philosophy is that you should always where cute knickers because you never know if you're going to get hit by the Knight Bus and lord knows I'm not going to Mungo's in anything other than adorable knickers.

Sounds like a plan. Do you have a lot of wine? Or a moderate amount and some firewhiskey?

I'm gunna level with you Lex. I'm pretty shit at choosing blokes. And maybe I want to try...like...dating? And not just shagging? I had this crazy idea mum would know who might be good for that but HAHAHAHA I was very wrong. So sure. Set me up. Can't be worse than a fat bald dude falling asleep in his soup.
