[PRIDE PLAYERS & STAFF]

All right little lions, some updates and a request on further insight.

1. Our lovely captain MacDonald won't be playing in the Fall Classic. I am as utterly heartbroken as all of you. Trust me. If Cav can work through some legality, we should have a reasonable (and fucking awesome) replacement. I'll let him update you on that one. Least I speak before anything is done and dusted.

And Maggie can give you the full story on her prognosis.

Meanwhile, I would like to trial some change ups. Scrimmy, if you're keen, I would love to see how you can hold in a few scrimmages playing beater, because hell if they let me play beater, why not you? (Which is also to say David -- we might need you for redemption part one.)

2. New temp field captain. I have some thoughts, but I will also put it out to you lot to see what you think.

3. MOST IMPORTANTLY: I want all your insight and observations on Montrose. I fully intend to destroy them and Merc. This is why I am bringing the Moose against Campbell, but I'll probably need more than that, so lend me your brains.

An exciting week of training upcoming. Plus Bonfire night. Team bonding abounds!

Aye, he broom races so he's fast. Good at turns, agile in the air. He's not infallible, though, and if anything I think he enjoys outsmarting the opposition - for example, his feinting passes backwards when he's almost at scoring position. If we don't let him manage to pull off the feints, he's on his own out there.

If we have more than one play that we can call up there, I think we've got him. He'll be expecting something, just not what. He'll be talking to their lot about me the same way I'm talking to you lot about him, and given that they know less about Joy and Scrim, I'd lay odds that they'll be expecting us to confuse him by putting him up against the unknown, or even using Joy and Scrim to mark their other Chasers.
