St Patrick's Day is never to be missed on the Emerald Isle and the quidditchers of the Ballycastle Bats and the Kenmare Kestrels were out and about to celebrate last Saturday. Led by Luke Kelly and Aidan Lynch, a crowd of players from both teams joined up in Dublin's wizarding district and drank their way down Dullahan Na Sraide. Kip Wiggins, Aiden Kelly, Sakura O'Reilly, Isobel Joyce, and Mary Margaret Waldron joined the captains in their fun. Along with fans and friends, including Pride of Portree fan favourite Meaghan McCormack representing the Scots in all contests of alcoholic prowess, the group drank rounds at a half-dozen pubs before calling it a night.
[The article is accompanied by a photo spread of the players and "friends" in mostly Muggle clothes, so it's apparent where they went when they called it a night but nobody is saying anything about breaking the Statute this way.
Papparazi photos include:
Finbar and Lynch apparently engaged in a Captain Drink Off, with several drinks each in front of them and everyone cheering them on
Kip Wiggins' green hat being snatched from his head by Meaghan and others diving in for a pinch
Aiden Kelly sitting on tiny Sakura O'Reilly as she laughs and hits his back
The Kellys having an arm wrestling match while Meg Waldron and Izzy Joyce (in the background, in matching green dresses) point at the camera, having finally noticed the paparazzo
Anyone looking closely can see that Mel Yaxley is one of the "friends" though his name isn't mentioned in the article.]
