If you didn't listen to Quidditch by the Numbers today, you were really missing out. And for those of you that were at yesterday's Montrose-Puddlemere EXTRAVAGANZA, you were really, really missing out, because Charlie told us all the good stuff about that crazy rule that made the match.

Lucky for you, I hear the WWN is going to rerun it by popular request.

[Study Group sans Maggie]

The jerseys are almost ready. If Muir cries tears of joy, I'm taking all of the credit.

[Study Group]

I almost got a "Da" out of Gina today. The "D" was definitely there. Charlie was ready to cry tears of joy, and I was ready to get photographic evidence.

what's the point of having a rule if you don't use it for a hundred years?? i throw out my worn out socks every two months. that rule had been sitting around for over six hundred sock rotations.

why doesn't the league clean out its rules?

A rule can exist on an extremely specific situation that's rarely utilised but then when needed can be cited rather than not having an answer as to what's allowed or not.

but why doesn't the league clean out its rules??

Because the rule may not be needed for one hundred years but then it is so it can't be thrown away.

... No? The game's evolved and sometimes the rules have as well.

Most teams wouldn't be confident enough in holding their score surplus to risk it. Or maybe they don't have a surplus to start. Sometimes it's better to take the forfeit than risk the other team pushing the score higher before taking the Snitch.

I'll have some notes for you tomorrow.

Maybe I should throw out a suggestion that we do another Seeker training. You know, in case we decide to use the rule again this season. To keep it fresh, you know.

seekers have already had their day. we should have a day celebrating an underrepresented role instead and hold an intern day where everybody does my work and i go to a spa.

Every day is intern appreciation day. Where you appreciate this fabulous opportunity to learn about one of the wizard world's staples from the finest in the business.

Also transfigure ping pong balls. Lots of them.
