Euan, so very adult and proper at the advanced age of six and a half, edges as far away as he dares from the scene his siblings (mostly his younger brother) is creating. He spots the closest familiar looking adult and sidles up very quickly. Thankfully it's his Uncle Mel and he just chats with him about Something Serious(TM) until it looks like the shouting as gone down and his siblings can stop being so embarrassing.

	Should it come down to it, Euan will very calmly explain that it wasn't really wandering off because he could see everyone just fine and he was with a proper grown up. And he comes when called.. He just doesn't want to get accidentally kicked. (It's happened before, Cal.) (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Ah, that's up to his dad and mum, but Uncle Mel is happy to have him and since Euan is such a good boy, Mel is pretty sure it will be soon. He is not even talking about the meltdown going on in the other side of the room because, well, the contrast is clear enough without Mel drawing attention to it. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Fraser was with Mel when the match ended. He wonders if with all their free time, it might not be a good idea to have another hillwalking expedition. There's a lovely hill called Berwick Law, that you can see from The Lamb, and it's only about a 4 mile trail (shorter than the last time).

While it's clearly a reward to Euan for good behavior, it's also an open offer to anyone who wants some exercise instead of (or before) the late afternoon picnic at Montrose...

	Which leads to a discussion of how much work horses are and how they need room to run and fly and even if the house is big, it's not really suited to winged horses. (Reply to this) (Parent)
