Angus starts out the match determined to do two things: 1) make his Snitch of goals and 2) get Maddock doing that football trick he's so excited about. And he's on the right track! And he's flying fine despite a touch of lingering soreness from the endurance slog! And who cares if it's only Chudley, the Chaser team are just on fire.

And then the whistle blows and it feels like they just started so Angus is kind of sure it's a mistake but apparently not so uh... what? He has to circle around to see the Snitch in Kenna's hand before he's actually positive the match is over.

At first Ada took things easy - in the sense that there wasn't any fancy tricks as she stopped the Cannons shots at the hoops. But things got a little boring when she managed to keep stopping their shots. So Ada started pulling some of the tricks she'd used during the endurance challenge - swooping through the hoops to stop a shot here, headbutting another there, and more than a few quaffle punches.

The fact that the match didn't even last an hour was surprising and it took a moment to actually process that.

And they're OFF!!! Maddock gets in position of the quaffle and he whistles off to Angus to give a cue. They were going to start this off on a high note, and get his bicycle kick out of the WAY. This is strategy. Psych out the Cannons, and then Maddock can concentrate on Captaining and formations.

Once they are close enough to the hoops. Maddock makes the pass to Angus before throwing himself off his broom perform a well executed bicycle kick and the quaffle went flying right over Horton's head. Element of surprise right there since it is Maddock's NEW move! (Thanks KAI!)

After that, Maddock was ALL business! Of course he was trying to score goals himself, but he only goal one more in after that. (Yeah I hate you too Horton). He's communicating with Roger and Angus to try the new formations MG has been getting them to practice.

He's watching where the beaters are. He's working on keeping the quaffle away from the chasers and away from Ada but she's doing a fine good job anyway. Lots of passing!

NO FOULS! He's got plenty of time to get his score up... wait where's Kenna? WAIT IS THAT THE WHISTLE?! IS IT OVER?!

Jason is watching Maddock pretty closely, interested to see how he does. He is impressed by the muggle move -- but also glad that Maddock lead with that. It would give his friend and fellow chaser more focus into the role of field captain.

In all of the screams from the fans, Jason might have very proudly stood up and shouted. "That's my boy!" For the bicycle kick. Sorry Montrose Box.

It feels like Roger has only just got started when the whistle blows. Prior to that he played a lot like he did in the previous match, making sure he was there to be a safe pair of hand for Doc and Angus to pass to. He collected 40 of his total point by pouncing on the rebounds at the hoops.

His light injury came at the twenty minute mark, when one of the Cannons (he's not even sure which), elbowed him in the face while trying to stay on their broom.

Lex is nervous and the first few minutes she's just playing defensively, trying to take it easy. There's no telling how long this match will go and she doesn't want to have to leave Coach hanging with only one beater in the air.

When Jenkins sends a bludger towards the crowd (and gets called on it) , Lex makes a dive towards it and sends it back into play before it hits someone. About ten minutes later, the Cannons' seeker whacks a bludger towards the crowd with his broom and Lex yells for Kal to get it so it doesn't hurt anyone.

Before she knows it, the whistle's called and Lex wonders if there's an injury or if she missed a bludger heading towards the crowd (honestly, chudley). She's in shock when she realizes Kenna's caught the snitch. She barely had time to get started.

It's not until after she lands that she realizes her robes are torn and she's bleeding. Apparently she got scraped the stands closer than she thought trying to correct for the bludger the cannons' beater sent into the stands. Oh well, a scrape on the arm isn't bad.

While Lex is on defence, Kal is concentrating on keeping the Cannons Chasers on their guard. They're pretty successful in dodging her shots, but that keeps them from getting in good position for shots, which is all Kal is aiming to do.

She's attentive to her partner's signals and calls "Got it!" as she shoots off to stop the Bludger headed to the stands. If they think that's going to distract her and Lex from their missions, the Cannons are sorely wrong in their strategy. Which, really, isn't shocking given their standings in the League.

When she hears the match called, she sort of pauses there in the air and looks around like, really? Then she does her best to hold back a laugh to maintain sportsmanship and such.
