I am sorry.
I would say this in person, and can, but I suspect you’d rather not see me right now.
Not that I would blame you. ~~I barely want to see me.~~

Hitting people without their consent is not appropriate.
Violence is not an appropriate response.

I wish I could say I had a good reason for my actions. I do not.
I tend to act without thinking and I have been under a lot of stress lately.
This does not excuse my actions.

I reacted. Not thinking.
I slapped her
Open hand. Not punching.

Fully body bind followed.
More anger.
Then leaving.

And fixing things

Do you know something, Ellie? I don't think you even realise that you're making excuses and avoiding responsibility for your behaviour with every word you write.

"Something wrong was done"? You did something not only wrong, but against the law. Have the stones to own up to it.

"Fighting without consent"? That is assault. An actual crime, whether your victim chooses to pursue legal action or not.

"Not appropriate"? Assault is not inappropriate; it's morally wrong and, if I may repeat myself, illegal.

"The emotions behind it were real"? I have a three-year-old child who knows that being angry does not make it okay to hit anyone.

I don't care if it's difficult or what your excuses are. Tell me who else you have attacked.
