I would say this in person, and can, but I suspect you’d rather not see me right now.
Not that I would blame you. I barely want to see me.

Hitting people without their consent is not appropriate.
Violence is not an appropriate response.

I wish I could say I had a good reason for my actions. I do not.
I tend to act without thinking and I have been under a lot of stress lately.
This does not excuse my actions.

I am excusing myself from the family holiday party, so please don’t miss out in order to not see me.

I am sure you are well aware of my colossal fuck ups lately. I am honestly taking this time off to try and fix things. Or at least stop punching people.
