Is there anything in the 700 Laws of Quidditch that would prevent a player from wearing pink that you are aware of?

Granted, but I'm asking you as my father, not my superior.

[...] I think it's unnecessary. Not distracting as a fellow player, no more than a non-natural hair color, but I suppose it depends on the statement we want to make. And choosing to wear or choosing not to wear says a lot about the team.

It's very political.

So of our options of a statement in support, a statement in opposition, or no statement, you favor the latter?

In some ways it's academic, since we no longer have any muggleborns after our amazing burn-out.

However, the Isla Cameron issue makes our silence appear to favor one side.

I want to make sure that we have a position that is consistent and compatible with our "everyone should vote" statements about the referrendum.

Ideally, yes, but I realize that's not likely the best option given, as you mentioned, namely, the Isla Cameron issue. Politically, not saying anything would make us look like we don't support Muggleborns, or otherwise harbor some ill will towards them. Which would only damage Portree's reputation to an unknowable extent.

I think we'll likely need to come out in favor of wearing pink. Even though I don't personally agree with it, but for the sake of keeping up appearances, that seems to me the best, most realistic option.

That all seems very reasonable. The other half of it is "best foot forward", which means we may feel that we have no choice, but we will want to make it seem like we are enthusiastic.

Your mother's drama school training may come in handy.

Those are my thoughts, as well. I hate politics.

I use them more frequently than most people realize.
