[His brothers couldn't have understood. It wasn't like they were struggling with the fact that they were apparently some Egyptian god. If they were struggling at all with being any sort of god, he felt like he'd know about it, but then he was probably wrong about that. When they'd asked him to come for a visit, he hadn't hesitated because he didn't really want to be in New York at the time. His head hurt too much and it wasn't conducive to anything useful. Of course, he had no idea this visit would involve sheep and even less of an idea of the impact it would have made.
One moment he was looking at sheep in the little farm and the next his mind was showing him pictures of a graveyard populated by sheep - sheep that weren't his. They belonged to someone else. Osiris. They were his. Once again a name surfaced, but this time he knew it was his. Anubis. When he came back to himself, he was staring intently at a sheep and his brothers were staring at him, wondering if something was the matter. He'd tried to shake it off, write it off as something other than what it was, but he was Anubis and now he had to figure out how to be normal around his family because they'd never believe him if he told them about this. He couldn't help but be glad Bastet wasn't there. She'd never have let him live it down.]

Sheep? Really? Sheep. Of all things!
I never thought I'd say anything so ridiculous, but I don't think I can forgive the sheep for this betrayal.

Ugh. So much for that. At least my head doesn't hurt.
