Who: Jeannie, Students, Liam
When: Afternoon
Where: Mystic Falls Highschool
What: chemicals react, sparks fly

She was halfway through her final class of the day when the fight broke out in her classroom. Two boys, best friends, brawling over a girl. Jeannie hurried to break up the fight, at first resisting the urge to intervene psychically, and attempting to separate them physically. She caught an elbow to the solar plexus before she used her mind control ability to force them to stop fighting.

She sent them to the principle's office, then turned back to her class. She was walking back up to the front when she noticed it. Someone had apparently decided to run a little experiment of their own. A plastic bottle, rapidly expanding due to the mixture of water and dry ice sealed inside. Fairly harmless if conducted outside away from anything breakable, but it wasn't. It was inside, sitting next to a glass lab equipment, and there was no time to stop it, it was too late. "Oh, no."

"Everybody get down!" Jean yelled, diving on top of a girl a split second before the bottle exploded, the beaker which sat next to it shattering, shards of glass raining down to pierce her back through her clothing. She knew she was still alive, because everything hurt like hell. Painfully, she pushed herself up on her hands and knees. "Is everyone okay?"

A couple of kids had caught splinters, but there were apparently no serious injuries. Being closest, she'd taken the worst of it. Thank god. Distantly, she heard the wail of a siren, and then she passed out.

Who: Arianna & Hunter, other students, Ms. Armitage
When: 4th period
Where: Chemistry
What: The chemicals react

Arianna was a little nervous about chemistry class. Not that she didn't enjoy it, the practical experiments were usually fun, but chem was typically the kind of class where students got paired off, so everyone probably already had a lab partner, which meant, as the new kid, she'd probably have to work all by herself. She filed into the lab with the rest of the class, then paused, waiting to see where everyone sat before looking for somewhere to sit herself.

There was one workstation, at the back of the class, that only seemed to have one student at it. Breathing out a sigh of relief, Ari then drew in a deep breath, and headed to the workstation, putting her hand on the back of the seemingly spare chair and looked questioningly at the exotically cute guy that occupied the other seat. Looking at him, a sense of fate slammed into her with the force of a category five hurricane. Belatedly, she remembered to smile and speak, "Hey... Is this seat taken?"

Who: Jeannie & Lucia
When: 8:55pm
Where: Billings International Airport
What: Picking up Lucia

Jeannie had arrived at the airport promptly at 8:30pm, gotten a cup of coffee, and settled in to wait for her sister's flight to get in. An announcement told her that her sister's flight was running a little late, so she took out a book and tried to block out the mental noise in the terminal.

A little while later, another announcement told her that Lucia's flight was disembarking, so she put away her book, got up, and waited for her sister to appear. She heard her thoughts before she saw her face.

"Lucia!" She called, but it was impossible to hear over the aural din, so she tried to get her attention again, this time telepathically, "Lucia! Over here!"

Jeanette smiled and waved to her older sister, then, when she was within reach, threw her arms around her and hugged her tightly, "I've missed you so much, Lucy-in-the-Sky-with-Diamonds!" She took her sister's carry-on, "Is this all you brought?"
