So it'll be really weird if we have to spend the holidays here instead of at home but just in case we have to, I think we should draw names for a secret santa. That could be fun. I've seen it done before and it always looks like a lot of fun.

And if you get him and I get James? You know how these boys are, they'll get the wrong idea. I don't want him to start seeing you differently if you get him something he likes. Right now he sees you as a child, the second he sees you as something more mature-- Amelia, we're in a good place now. I'm going to be heavier and temperamental, I really don't want to have to worry about competition right now. Let's just buy what we usually buy, the distant polite gift without much thought and keep the intimate gifts for intimate relationships.
