I work in conservation so I spend a lot of time in national parks. I guess it's about knowing what you're capable of and that you can rely on yourself and your body, that you've got a little bit of control up against the massive uncontrollable forces of nature. And, you know, most people can't do it, so by definition it's an accomplishment.

It happens sometimes but it's actually hardly anyone compared to the number of people that go on parts of it every year. I think it's literally something like one in a million people.
