Who: Ororo Munroe, Sharon Carter, open to Fancy Lee
When: Thursday afternoon
Where: Kenya, then the portal room
What: Storm arrives at the facility
"He's mine." The words carried a certain weight to them, one that spoke of duty and responsibility and the bonds that tied Ororo to this tiny village that few in the world had ever heard of. She hadn't spent the largest part of her life here, but it was still hers, and for someone to threaten that... She didn't know who this Uovu might truly be, but soon he would find out who she was. Clutching Stormcaster, she sped towards him, the wind embracing her like a mother might. "You see this land?" she demanded, voice carrying to where Uovu stood. "It's where I was called 'goddess'. Now, I'll earn the name."
With that declaration, she raised her hammer, swinging it in a circle until it looked as though a round disc lay in the air over her head, Stormcaster moving too quickly to make out individual circuits. She prepared herself to strike--
Suddenly the surroundings changed. No longer was she in the wide open, but confined in a room, all metal and glass and no sign of her foe. "No!!" Reacting quickly, she managed to abort her attack halfway, though she heard - and felt - the loud crash and the burn of ozone from beyond the walls of wherever she had appeared that suggested she hadn't been completely successful in preventing damage. There were people in the room, and she turned to them in despair. "What have you done? They can't defeat him alone!"
As much as she valued her teammates and respected their strength and power, she knew in her bones that she never would have allowed them to pit themselves against the false god that threatened her people. Their task was to be evacuation, never the fight itself. That was for her alone; it always had been.
