It was always strange to be asked which name to use. Among mutants, no one bothered - almost all of them used Storm, their attitudes either that both were as valid as the other or dismissive of old human names - unless they were close enough for a nickname or diminutive, and then 'Ro was as common as Stormy. Humans varied more, but usually tended to place a great deal more importance on her birth name, many of them not seeming to comprehend the idea that a person could have two names of equal worth. At another time, she might have attempted to explain the cultural implications behind it all, but now, still trying to process her sudden change in location and the question of what might now be happening in Uzuri, she just shook her head tiredly. "Storm is fine. I just need--"
She stopped, then, unsure how to finish the sentence. What did she need? Nothing they were likely to be able to give her. It wasn't basic resources that would make her feel better at this point. She wanted a hug from one of her boys, Kurt or Logan maybe, or to watch over the youngest children for a while. She wanted her garden and the lake at the mansion. All of it was in another universe entirely, literally couldn't be further from her reach. She settled on a simple, "Yes, thank you."
