Padma was laying on her bed, reading her Charms textbook and waiting. Besides Morag wanting to speak with her, she was sure that the Headmaster, and the Assistant Headmaster and Mistress would soon be looking to her and Ernie for answers on who wrote that message near the Great Hall. Answers that she knew she would have to lie about to keep the DA safe. She wasn't sure how much longer they would accept her answers, though. Yes, she was a pureblood and she had been taking Theo's advice in that regard, reminding the Carrows of that when they spoke with her; it seemed to stay their had...but then they would take their frustration out on other students.
She shook her head. She couldn't keep falling into these bouts of pessimism. It wouldn't help with this talk with Morag. Somebody had to stay level-headed, and that's what everyone expected of her. |
