Group Activity - Bowling!
WHO: Jareth, Severus Snape, Dean Winchester, Michiru Kaioh (posting order TBD)
WHAT: Group Activity - Bowling
WHEN: Morning of Day 31
WHERE: The Bowling Alley
RATING: PG?
STATUS: Incomplete

When Snape heard the sound outside his door, his mood sank and he fought off an urge to fling the closest beaker against the far wall. He recognized well the scuffling sound of golem feet, the thump of a note being stuck to his door, and the subtle sound of his teeth grinding. Group activities. He hated them. He still remembered the painful nightmare of being forced to pick grapes and crush them between his toes. He also remembered, however, how useless it had been to resist, how he had been dragged kicking and screaming like a child to the vineyard. Opting out was not an option.

Going to the door to collect his "invitation", he shuddered anew when he read that he was to go bowling. Though he was not an avid player of recreational games, he was familiar with the game of boules and understood bowling to be a muggle adaptation of it. Furthermore, his walks through the common building had resulted in his awareness of the existence of a facility there designed for the accommodation of the pastime. Throwing on the clothes he had taken off the night before, he summoned a pumpkin pasty and headed for the main lodge. Best to get this nonsense over with.

The bowling alley, an odd room if he had ever seen one, was empty of other participants when he arrived. As he looked over the layout of the lanes and gutters, an attending golem handed him a pair of ugly muggle shoes and pointed to a bench. Snape assumed he was meant to wait for the others.

It was Jareth's turn, and he really had very little idea how to proceed. It didn't seem that hard, though, just aim the ball in the direction of the pins and sort of roll it towards them. Anyway, if these mortals could do it, surely he could as well. How hard could it be? So he walked with his ball up to the line and stood there, eying it from all angles.

Suddenly, he stopped and whirled around. "Where did that ugly black-haired man go?" He thought it supremely unfair that someone could have gotten out of this while he was still trapped. But wherever he was, the golem was still looking impassively at Jareth, so he supposed he'd better get this over with.

He set himself with a sort of arrogant flair that said this was far beneath him, and threw the ball. As was fairly predictable to anyone who remembered their first time, the ball rolled unerringly to the gutter while only halfway down the lane. He sneered and turned away, giving the golem who was trying to give him a drink, beer of all things, a dirty look.

"Your turn, mortal." He said to Dean, and went to sit down so he could hide his ugly shoes behind something.

The tray of beer was passed before him by the golem and Dean was more than happy to accept one. Then thought better of it and took a second. For Michiru's sake, he told himself amusedly as she passed it up.

Dean winked at the dude with the gutter ball. He wasn't going to press his luck and tease the guy but the fact he'd just about dressed in spandex but he'd called Dean a "mortal" so that sort of made him fair game. Still he wouldn't say a word.

Taking a sip from the first bottle, Dean nonchallantly pulled himself to his feet and poked his fingers into the ball he'd chosen for himself. Then, with a teasing glance over his shoulder at Jareth, he spun the ball down the lane like he had a hundred times before. All in all he managed to knock 7 pins down before he parked his rear on the plastic seat and looked to Michiru for the next play.

Michiru hadn't noticed that Snape was missing until Jareth mentioned it. That was supremely unfair.. Granted, she wasn't upset about this particular activity, but it didn't seem fair that someone could just up and disappear like that to get out of it. She glanced at the golems, but they were as expressionless as ever. Which meant the Planet didn't care about what had happened to Snape. Proof again this place was crazy.

Jarath's arrogance was rapidly crossing her mental line between amusing and annoying. His superiority complex was so obvious and so over the top, she was seriously wondering what he was compensating for.
"There's no point in being snarky" she commented calmly as she passed him on her way to retrieve her ball. She lined up her shot and released the ball down the lane, careful not to twist her wrist as she had been. She was rewarded with the ball slamming straight into the pins.

She turned on her heel and smiled at both men. "See, relaxing helps"
