As always, Legolas was wide awake when the note came. Of course, since he never truly slept, this wasn't much of a surprise. He jumped off the couch he had been resting on and ran to the door. It had become a bit of a game to him, to see if he could get there fast enough to catch the golem in the act of pinning the note to his door. He had yet to do it, and today was no exception. By the time he got there, the thing was long gone. No trace was left of it, except of course the note.

It was no surprise to him what it said, and he even knew what one of the things was that he was supposed to be doing. The elves made wonderful canoes, though of course he'd never even remotely heard of kayaks. He grinned broadly, beyond pleased by the summons. He really liked meeting new people, and he'd met several through activities such as this. Of course, not all of them were still on Mirage, but he chose not to think of that.

A quick shower later, he dressed himself in his typical tunic and leggings. His sharp silver knives he kept in their place, but the bow he regretfully left behind. Just like when he'd gone white river rafting, he knew the weapon would be useless with all the water splashing around. He couldn't help but feel a bit naked without it, though, as he stepped out the door for breakfast.

It wasn't long before he was at the appointed spot by the shore of the lake. There were several boats around, and he looked at the curiously. They didn't seem to be made out of wood, but rather some strange substance he'd never seen before. Thoughtfully, he went over and tapped on it. The sound made him laugh. Then, he stood back and waited, hoping others would come soon.

Legolas shrugged slightly at Spike's comment. "We do not have such things on Middle Earth." But his voice was amused. In his mind, the way he was being treated said more about them than him, and he found the whole thing fascinating. "I would not try to leave, if I were you." The elf pointed as a golem was seen walking slowly up to them, having already turned over their canoes. "I rather think he will be inclined to make you stay."

With that, he walked over to Mercy and bowed deeply to her. "My Lady Mercy, I am at your disposal." He glanced up as the sky obligingly darkened. "It would seem, my Lord Vampire, that you are in luck. You shall take that boat with our new friend, here." He bowed ironically to the man with the cane.

"Fear not, Lady Mercy. I am more than proficient with how these boats work. Elves have a natural love for the water. You will not have to lead me." He walked over to the boat, and with a surprising strength in one so slender, picked it up and set it in the water. He courteously held it steady for Mercy to get in.

"Come on, my friends. Or I think that our stony friend here will have something to say about it." He was speaking to the vampire and the doctor. "We are, after all, supposed to be enjoying ourselves." With a mischievious grin that he was fairly sure would annoy the other men to no end, he jumped into the boat with a fluid, natural sort of grace.
