Day 3 - Country Line Dancing!
Who: Max, Rose, Maxxie, Gabrielle, Doumyouji
What: Country Line Dancing Class
When: 10:00am
Where: The Ballroom
Rating: TBD
Status: Completed

Max woke up indulging in a long, luxurious, morning stretch and wondering where his blanket went. He must have gotten a bit warm and tossed and turned last night...his blankets were in the floor and the fly of his boxers was halfway to his hip. He chuckled at himself and straightened his boxers, as he stood up. Steamy thoughts of Giselle and Katara prevented him from making his boxers lay too straight, showertime would be playtime he decided...the sixteen year old wondered for a moment if the Planet wold supply them with porn. He blushed, looking around like someone could hear his thoughts,Ummmm...nothing hardcore or anyhing. Just like Playboy or Penthouse or something, y'know...just like naked girls..., he blushed again, heading towards the showers...he missed Liz so much.

On the way to the bathroom, he heard someone outside his door. "Hello?!", he called. "Hello, who's there?!". Walking to the door, he opened it and looked around...no one there, but an envelope was taped to his door with his name printed on it. With a curious expression, Max ripped the envelope off of the door and took it back over t the bed and sat on the edge. The paper inside was thickly textured and the printing nicely calligraphied.

'GO TO THE BALLROOM AT 10:00AM. YOU WILL BE TAKING A COUNTRY LINE-DANCING CLASS. THIS IS MANDATORY.IF YOU DO NOT GO, A GOLEM WILL FIND YOU AND TAKE YOU THERE. DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL THE CLASS IS FINISHED OR A GOLEM WILL TAKE YOU BACK.'

Max let the instructions fall to the carpeted floor, followed quickly by his disbelieving jaw, "Dancing?!", he exclaimed, "Why dancing? Who told them I danced? I don't dance!". He picked the instructions up and placed them on his desk with the envelope. Looking over at his digital clock he sighed, "8:45...an hour and 15 minutes...better get showered and hustle on over there"

After a quicker shower than he had planned, Max dressed in tee shirt, jeans and boots grabbed an apple to eat and hurried to the lobby to check out a map for directions to the ballroom. Reading the diagram on the wall, Max hurried into the massive ballroom to find himself the first one there...besides the stone golem testing out an instructional dvd, which he caught the beginning of on a suspended movie screen... "Howdy, Y'all! I'm Shawn Trautman and I'll be teaching you all the Achy Breachy Heart and The Boot Scootin' Boogie!".

"Hello!", Max greeted, as the golem stopped the dvd, "I'm Max Evans, ummm...reporting for duty".

He was completely out of his comfort zone. He'd never been able to get along with people all that easily, and his life thus far reflected that with startling clarity. It wasn't something he was particularly fond of, it had always been something of a defence mechanism; ninety-percent of the people who tried to get close to him were only doing so because of what he was heir to, the influence he had. Of course, it did have to do with the fact that he had, more or less, had his every whim catered for. Tsukushi had softened him somewhat - he was less like a spoilt brat than he had been, but here? Here was aware from anything and everything he knew, and he was struggling to cope. He just wanted to be home, with people he knew and liked, people who wouldn't make assumptions. He was aware that his temper was worse than normal, but he wasn't able to do a great deal about that, and wasn't that bothered either way. He was certain he wouldn't be here for long, and whether these people liked him or not was therefore of little consequence.

After waking, he had stared up at the ceiling for several moments, lips pushed into a pout as he considered what his day could have consisted of if he'd been in Tokyo. After a few moments, he slid out of bed, shoving his slippers on as he padded over to the bathroom. Pausing by his dresser, brow creasing into a slight frown, he stared down at a white envelope with his name carefully written on the front. Picking it up, he opened it and read the note inside before scoffing and dropping the envelope and note back on the dresser. Country line-dancing. It sounded so distasteful. They could have at least have been taught a more refined style of dancing - he wouldn't have minded ballroom dancing, partially because he already knew how to do several. But line-dancing? That sounded so common! He wouldn't have gone, but the idea of being forcibly brought by one of those things did not appeal.

As such, after having a shower, he chose suitable clothing from his wardrobe - nothing overly flashy, nothing slightly more than his day-to-day wear - but it was still noticeably high quality, and definitely expensive. Glancing at his watch, he attempted to work out how long it would take him to get there - he wasn't even sure where the ballroom was, but he doubted it would be hard to miss. Pulling on and lacing a pair of smart, black shoes, he started his walk down to the ballroom, pausing just outside the door. Hand resting on the handle, he pushed open the door and walked in, shoving one hand in a pocket. Glancing at the others in the room, brown eyes flitting from one to the other, he pulled a brief look of distaste as his gaze fell on the golem, before looking back at the girl and boy. He hadn't come across either of them yet (although he was glad that neither were that Jun kid). Standing a short distance away from them, he looked across at the TV, his expression reflecting how he felt about learning from a DVD. Other than that, he remained silent, primarily out of the fact that he was unsure as what to say.

Gabrielle had had an exciting reunion with Xena the previous day that managed to wear the traveling adventurer out. She had been used to sleeping beside Xena that she had climbed into her bed to lay behind her, snuggling into her pillow. The feisty blonde had never slumbered inside a bed this luxurious before, usually Kings and Queens had those. Quietly slumbering beside Xena, Gabby could sleep through anything including a fierce battle between some local villages and the warrior princess. Which, she did do a few months ago when a band of assassins attacked their camp sight.

Rolling onto her side she moved her arm to coil it around Xena's waist, a habit that became normal for. But when she noticed her best friend wasn't there, her blue eyes snapped open. Lifting her head up from the pillow, "Xena?" She called out to the woman, unsure where her friend had ventured off to. Gabrielle's heart sunk inside her chest as she sat up to toss the blanket off her petite frame.

The envelope Xena had placed on the blanket had fallen to the floor. The sound of it sought her attention as she turned to see the envelope on the floor. "What is this?" Her name was written across it as she picked it up while moving to the kitchen where she saw Xena had left breakfast for her. A smile melted along her lips at the sweet gesture. Sinking down onto a chair she proceeded to eat the few pieces of fruit, some bread, some cheese and the bottled water.

Gabrielle's eyes read across the opened envelope as she read the letter. Her eyes went wide as she smirked. Maybe Xena would be there too? "Country line dancing?" A chuckle escaped her as she finished up breakfast. Indulging in a hot shower that felt like heaven, Xena was right it was wonderful. She got dressed in her usual wardrobe of her red bra, mini skirt, and boots.

Taking the piece of parchment with her she locked up and departed for her class. Luckily, Xena had showed her the layout of everything the previous day of their exploration. Walking inside she stopped to see there were others already present and one of those rock creatures she encountered the day before. "Hi." Flashing a smile, she noticed the people there dressed differently than she did and they had designs she had never seen.

Even in a crowd of strangers, Gabrielle stepped closer. She was a bard so even telling a story full of strangers wasn't a big deal. Noticing the boy by himself, Gabrielle decided to be amicable, "Hi, I'm Gabrielle and you are?" Noticing the strange technology, Gabrielle frowned unfamiliar with the DVD player or even the television. Everything was so new to her but she noticed Xena wasn't around either. Hopefully the warrior princess was around the planet.
