Who: Armand, Max, Violet, Doctor, Kibeth (Posting order, if that's cool?)
Where: The spa
When: Early evening
What: Rescue time!
Rating: R, cause of it being Armand and all
Status: Complete

He was just waiting. Waiting for instructions on what to do. He had his victims, and he was ready to do what he was supposed to. Or... mostly. There was only one slight little hitch to that plan. Violet, no problem, he could sacrifice her or whatever was required any second he was asked to. He didn't have anything against her, but he didn't have any particular reason to want to save her, either.

However... the snag was with Max. The teenaged boy was intoxicating. Literally, actually. And Armand found himself unable to stop from occasionally biting the alien, draining a little bit more of his blood each time. The boy was very pale. He was coming close to breaking the rules, to killing. And, somehow, at the same time, he knew he would fight Dahak if necessary to protect the alien boy. An odd sort of dual way of feeling, but Armand didn't worry about that much.

The vampire sat comfortably on the alter he'd set up. He'd been there for hours, unmoving. Max lay draped in his lap, and Armand played softly with his hair. Together, they sat, and waited. Max was conscious, but barely. He would likely be in a delerium induced by lack of blood, and the bond that had so ensnared the vampire. Armand showed no indication of letting him go anytime soon, if ever.

There was the girl there, too, of course. Violet. Such an intruiging, logical little creature. He had spent quite awhile busy with her mind, and knew nearly everything there was to know about her. Suddenly, he spoke. "Come here, little girl." His fingers continued to play gently with the hair of the boy draped in his lap. "Come here, I want to give you a candy."

He reached into his pocket, and knowing full well that she was allergic to peppermint, he pulled one of the candy's out. He'd gotten this just for this purpose. And entering the mind of the child, he compelled her towards him, compelled her to take the candy.

The Doctor flinched slightly as the vampire reached out his mind to him, brushing back with his own mind partially out of instinct but partially as a warning. It was the second time someone had displayed unhesitant psionics with him, and the whole thing made him rather uncomfortable. He had been used to it as a greeting among his own people, but now it felt more threatening that welcoming.

The Doctor raised an eyebrow at Armand's suggestion, feeling strangely... amused by it. It was too easy. The Doctor had been bitten by a vampire before and knew the intoxication power his blood had over the species. The last time he had nearly died, but then there had been a group... this was just the one and he had already been feeding on another. The Doctor knew that he had the strength to survive, and that was really all that mattered. Sometimes a simple negotiation really was all it took.

He didn't want to give away his enthusiasm about the suggestion in case he should be taken for an easy target, so he Doctor looked thoughtful, turning to Max again before giving an answer. "Oh, lovely. I'm not from Earth either, but it is such a delightful planet. I trust you had an enjoyable upbringing?" he asked conversationally.

He stopped Violet's rolling screwdriver with his foot and looked back to Armand. He cleared his throat as if about to declare an answer, but instead he nodded slowly. "Okay. You let him heal her, and let Kibeth here take them back to their rooms... and you can have me in his place," he confirmed.

Kibeth felt the touch on her mind and quickly shifted her thoughts back into the more basic and primal dog-thought of her previous form. If the creature didn't retreat she could always run through Charter marks, counting on the endless stream of marks to drive anyone away out of boredom. But fortunately she felt the touch retreat rather quickly.

She crossed over to the collapsed girl as the Doctor accepted the dead man's offer. She wasn't sure she'd be quite as willing as the strange man was, but if it meant she could get the other two out of here, that would be all to the good. She brushed the girl's hair back from her forehead. The poor child looked to be in great pain, but without the Charter, Kibeth felt rather useless. Hopefully the boy could help, but for now Kibeth contented herself with gently stroking the girl's forehead.
