Upon arrival to this place the Hatter had been eccentric and crazy, to be sure, but for the most part he was still generally harmless. Hard to understand sometimes, curious, and still rather friendly. Alice's arrival, though he had yet to see the girl, had greatly impacted him. His very existence was thought to hinge on her, and when she arrived -- not of sound mind due to her stay at the asylum -- he reverted ever so slightly back into his old ways. He had become a degenerate - twisted, violent, and cruel when she had been at her worst, and had changed back to this when Wonderland had mended, but she was of a time prior to that healing. So he was not quite so bad, but he'd remained in his room creating all manner of things, some decidedly less pleasant then others. At this point, Dahak had needed only give him a small push to drive him further from the pleasant state of madness to something more sinister, and a push is what he got. The change was quite clear.

His face was white as ever with black around his eyes, the dark red of his lips smeared, and no smile gracing his features as his reptilian aids put the finishing touches on the room. He had taken over the ballroom, and had it changed to his liking. Dark, polished wooden floors, rich crimson and gold wall paper blackened on the bottom as if they had survived a fire, and were covered in flames of soot. At the far end of the room on a small platform where it was assumed a band was meant to be placed was the alter he had been promised, a pink table cloth thrown over it, and set with a number of cakes and tea kettles, and cups piled randomly. Nothing matched, some were broken. The five chairs (three along the wall looking out on the ballroom, one on either end) were mismatched as well, wooden - small - large - cushioned - colored - one even rested crooked with one of the legs sawed off. No never mind to the rows of lovely velvet covered chairs lined on either side of the room in wait. The tittering sound of movement could be heard echoing around the room, but if you looked, you'd never catch his mechanical associates at play. The large columns placed around the ballroom housed the ticking creatures, lying in wait to stop any uninvited guests from joining the party.

As for him, his hat and coat were both a dark shade of blue. The coat fell just past his knees, brushing against black dress pants, and a lighter blue shirt. A cane with a tea kettle on top of it had been adopted for this occasion as well. Now there was simply the matter of waiting for his guests to arrive, which should be any time now. He had left a gift at their door this morning.

Two mechanical rabbits toys, covered in brown fir, with large button eyes, and a pleasant green jacket. They had reminded him of the March Hare. They sat beside each door until it was opened, at which point they whirred to life, and presented the women with a small envelope.

You have hereby been invited to tea at promptly 4 o'clock in the ballroom.
Attendance is required. The Hare will escort you.
Very Merry Unbirthday.
Hatter.

While the note was pulled out and read the rabbits would move closer, long ears wrapping for a moment around the reader's wrists like handcuffs, the mechanical grip strong enough to restrain the women while the hare fastened manacles to their ankles. Their feet would be pulled out from under them, the rabbit (still holding their wrists) would move forward and drag them on their backs towards the ballroom. The ballroom where Hatter waited tipping droplets of poison into some of the tea. Not all of it, and the poison would only serve to make his guests sleepy, perhaps to the level of near coma if too much was taken, but not to kill. It was terribly dishonest of him as a host to ruin the tea like this, but it would be easiest for them to sleep when time came to place them on the table-alter as he'd been instructed.

Tonks looked up as another girl entered the room, also brought by a giant bunny. Oh, Merlin, Mad-Eye Moody would never let her live this one down. Kidnapped by a dark wizard was one thing, but a rabbit? Just not something that an Auror should have happen. She tried to make eye contact with the girl, but she was too busy looking around. Fair enough.

"I'm actually good without a prize, thanks..." She squawked when she felt her wand being pulled out of her pocket. She needed that. That was becoming increasingly clear. Her Auror instincts were kicking in. Unfortunately, there wasn't much she could do without her wand. "Hey, that's mine! Give it back."

And then, of course, she was being shuttled over to the table. She was pretty sure she didn't like this new Hatter. The old one had been friendly, she'd enjoyed speaking with him. This new one, though, was seeming a bit off to her. Not someone she was liking nearly as much. She sat down, not that she had a choice, and looked around at the food.

"I'm not eating anything." She stated clearly, just to keep there from being any confusion. It just didn't strike her as the best idea, given how she'd been taken, and how strange the hatter was behaving. "What dark flames?" Her natural curiousity was piqued. "I can make blue flames, but I don't do dark magic. That's not very nice, is it?"
