Who: Aragorn, Giselle at first then later Wolverine
What: Kidnapping of the King of Men and the beautiful Giselle
When: Morning
Where: Starting at the cafe
Rating: TBA
Status: complete

Aragorn and Legolas had spent most of the night and morning hours awake, talking, just staying close. They knew they would need their rest, so Aragorn dozed off in the arms of the elf, while Legolas fell into the waking reverie of his people, that was close to sleep and yet very different. Aragorn had never understood it, being a human. But, suddenly, Aragorn had awoken with a jolt, sweat covered his body and his breathing was harsh.

Something.. the feeling of dread and danger was so bad right now he felt like he was suffocating on it. He felt he couldn't breathe. Silently, quickly he moved from the bed and let the Elf continue in his rest. Though he could tell the thoughts of the elf were dark, troubled. And he didn't really want to leave him, but he couldn't stay in bed any longer.

Focus, he told himself as he looked at Legolas. He was so close to doing something he should not. And he was shaking needing to breathe, needing to clear his head, free his mind so he could focus. So he decided to go for a walk. Maybe get breakfast and even bring some to the Elf. He left quietly, planning to get back quickly. Not wanting to be apart just in case.

He found his way to a small place with food, a cafe. Not that he knew what it was and as he walked in he looked at the array of food and didn't know what it was. He frowned, pursing his lips quite confused. What was a scone?

Wolverine could see it in Aragorns eyes, the fire that was there in battle, the man on the edge of giving in to his darker emotions. Ah were it not that he had a purpose here, he would gladly have tested the Ranger's mettle, faced down the stranger's blade to see which of them would fare better in combat. But he was here with a purpose, and whether or not it would have been honorable to face Aragorn as a man was a non-issue. Dahak had commanded that both of them be taken alive, and with as little struggle as was possible. To do otherwise would be to gain too much attention to the others that were likewise being kidnapped at the moment, something which the dark lord had communicated was unacceptable. Giselle screaming was enough of a distraction.

As the King of Men dropped his sword Wolverine took his claws slightly away from Giselle's throat as a show of good faith. He could hear her crying about how it hurt, and as he saw the tear sliding down her cheek he was suddenly struck with the senation that all of this was wrong, that he wasn't who he was supposed to be, that something terrible had happened. Aragorn would see his face twist slightly as he brought his free hand over his face and dug his nails into his skin hard enough that it started to bleed, a dark growl coming from him before an eerie purple glow filled his eyes and he stood still like an automaton for a moment, before placing his hand near Giselle's throat agian. Whatever had transpired in that moment the two of them wouldn't know, they likely couldn't guess that Wolverine had been fighting the power he was under, only to lose once again.

"Sheath your blade, Ranger..." Wolverine growled darkly as he brought the blade a little higher towards Giselle's face. The message was rather clear. He wasn't going to kill Giselle right away, but if he wasn't obeyed, he would be leaving Giselle a reminder that she never would forget. "I won't ask you twice..." he growled sharply, and while he waited he motioned for one of Lizardmen to approach, the scaly creature looking at Giselle as if she were repulsive, and roughly taking her wrists, binding them together behind her back. Once bound Wolverine stepped away and let the Lizardman hold Giselle, though he was within striking distance of her at all times as he watched Aragorn, curious to see what the honorable prince of men would do now that it was obvious Wolverine wasn't going to let the pair of them go.

Deep down inside, a part of Wolverine was itching for the ranger to try something...

Aragorn was honorable and as the entire seen played out in front of him there was never any doubt. He would not see Giselle hurt further than what she already was. He would not make the innocent girl suffer because of him.

he saw for a small moment something change within the beast that commanded the lizardmen. When Giselle was bound and handed to them and the request was made,Aragorn carefully sheathed the precious sword and with a heavy heart he placed it at his feet admitting his defeat. He could hold his own and if Giselle was not in danger he would have fought. But he would never make it worse.

It was there that he bowed his head and once more his thoughts went to the Elf.Wishing his friend and the one who had stolen his heart was here. With Legolas by his side, there would have been the choice to fight.

"I wish not too add harm to her. What is it that you want?" Aragorn asked again, his voice firm,no fear in his tone. He was not foolish though. He knew cool demeanor and complete corporation would not keep harm from being done.

She thought for the space of a heartbeat that Logan was going to let her go. But that idea was shortlived. His claws were once again at her throat and Aragorn was laying aside his sword. She was then given over to the scaly lizard men. They revolted her, and she shrunk back from them. But, unwilling to let her go, Logan pushed her toward them and her hands were tied behind her back.

She was ashamed of herself for letting the tear escape and leaned her head down to wipe her face on her shoulder. She looked at Aragorn, and her large blue eyes pled for forgiveness. She hadn't known that Wolverine was the enemy. But she still felt responsible for the situation they now found themselves in. And she had to know why this was happening to them.

"Why are you doing this to us? What did we do to offend you so?" She looked imploringly at Wolverine, who was only feet away and still within range to slice her throat open with his menacing claws. Then she heard the Ranger's words nearly on top of her own and she clamped her mouth shut. She'd gotten him into this mess, the least she could do is keep her trap shut so that Aragorn could talk to him without interruption on her aprt.

She sighed, and her breath blew a strand of her red hair off her forhead only to have it flutter back down and rest against her skin. She could do nothing about it with her hands tied behind her back. And why did she have her hands tied behind her back in the first place? What was going on?

Sure, she'd run from ogres and defeated dragons, but she hadn't expected to encounter anything like that here. She hadn't had to worry about having her guard up, and if someone threatened her like that nasty Ash had, a golem came to her aid. So where were they now? She pouted and stomped her foot. It was all making her rather angry the more she thought about it.
