Aragorn and Legolas had spent most of the night and morning hours awake, talking, just staying close. They knew they would need their rest, so Aragorn dozed off in the arms of the elf, while Legolas fell into the waking reverie of his people, that was close to sleep and yet very different. Aragorn had never understood it, being a human. But, suddenly, Aragorn had awoken with a jolt, sweat covered his body and his breathing was harsh.

Something.. the feeling of dread and danger was so bad right now he felt like he was suffocating on it. He felt he couldn't breathe. Silently, quickly he moved from the bed and let the Elf continue in his rest. Though he could tell the thoughts of the elf were dark, troubled. And he didn't really want to leave him, but he couldn't stay in bed any longer.

Focus, he told himself as he looked at Legolas. He was so close to doing something he should not. And he was shaking needing to breathe, needing to clear his head, free his mind so he could focus. So he decided to go for a walk. Maybe get breakfast and even bring some to the Elf. He left quietly, planning to get back quickly. Not wanting to be apart just in case.

He found his way to a small place with food, a cafe. Not that he knew what it was and as he walked in he looked at the array of food and didn't know what it was. He frowned, pursing his lips quite confused. What was a scone?

Not too far from them, in the woods, a predator lurked, tilting it's head up lightly to scent the air. It could smell it's targets, and as fortune would have it, the both of them were together rather than being seperated. That would mean that both of them could be taken if one played their cards right. As he stood up, he motioned to the two Lizardmen to go out in front of him as he began to walk along the side to flank. As he moved, the thrill of the hunt began to burn like fire in his veins, thinking about the fight that was to come, and as he thought on it his arms flexed instinctively to release his claws, though he pulled them back in a moment later. Wolverine was definately spoiling for a good fight...

It was a shame that they'd both need to be kept alive. But Dahak had given him intel about the pair of them. The Ranger, Aragorn, was a formiddable swordsman, a bastion for light and goodness. The other one with him was sweet, but generally useless in a fight. Another beacon of light and innocence in her own way, but her inability to fight meant that the plan was already in Wolverine's mind before Dahak had finished telling them about the pair. People who liked being heroes tended to have a fatal flaw about them which was that they played the hero before they knew the circumstances. Usually you didn't wind up in a bad place over something like that, but that's because a fair amount of people who were out to do harm didn't actually think when they did it.

Logan, on the other hand, even in a state where he wasn't quite himself, was a master tactician.

From the trees near them suddenly the pair who were picknicking would hear the roars of two beasts and see a few hundred yards away the lizardmen burst from the brush and charge them, short swords drawn. There wasn't a lot of questioning, given their weapons, what sort of plans they had for the pair on the grass, and only malice showed in their dark eyes as they ran. Aragorn would need to act quickly if he wanted to save Giselle, and that's exactly what the man in a t-shirt and jeans nearby was expecting. Let him charge forward to face danger, and leave the frail redhead all alone. Standing there, he resisted the urge to let his claws free again.
