Gabrielle had not been herself as of late, she was distant and most of the time refused to leave the room, taking comfort in writing her scrolls. Her mind was plagued with thoughts of Hope, the memories of her daughter not to mention her own faults as a mother. She hated that she had let Hope down. the thoughts and memories only seemed to bring her more pain and depression. She hadn't found the right time to talk to Xena about it, the warrior usually not around much either, though she usually knew where she was. Leading some training session. The bard tried not to let it bother her because she knew deep down Xena couldn’t pass up an opportunity to train. After all, she was a warrior.

Waking up, she found herself alone, wondering where Xena was off to today. The bard decided she wasn’t going to spend the day inside, though it was cloudy outside, she wasn’t going to let it bother her. The amazon queen needed out, needed fresh air and something to distract her. She got up and quickly showered then got dressed before leaving the room, venturing out to the tables, hoping by chance that she would find Xena along the way but the warrior princess was nowhere in sight.

She felt that things had changed since the day her feelings came out but hoped that wasn’t the case. The last thing she wanted was for Xena and her to drift apart because of shared feelings. Entering the stables, she walked over to where Argo was being held. She reached for a brush and moved into the stall. “Hello girl.” She whispered, brushing the horses main and her coat, sensing that Argo was enjoying the attention.

Locked in Dahak's room, far away from the prying eyes that might have seen them, the half naked body of Dahak stretched lazily as he watched Gabrielle frantically searching for a way out. It was interesting, the fear that suddenly came over her body. How very delightful to watch adjusing her clothes in an attempt to cover herself after what she did. Ah, how like Adam and Eve, realizing that they were naked together in the garden of Eden. Sadly for her, nothing that she would ever do would fully get rid of this moment, what she'd done, what she had allowed herself to become. And it was with that thought that Dahak felt the need to show her exactly what she would remember...

He smirked as she trembled beneath the vision, and the idea of what Xena would say to it. Ah, what would the precious little Warrior Princess become knowing that her partner had willingly given herself to what might be considered their greatest enemy? Would she cry, perhaps, or would that defiant look of anger cross over her features? Would she scowl and shut out those who cared about her, and get a little darker in her heart. Ares had a fondness for that one that Dahak had never understood, but then now that he could experience the joys of the flesh, perhaps Xena might be a worthy target...

Still, Gabrielle was here, and she, though she was freaking out, was still a worthy prize. The purer of the two, the one who had the longest to fall. Climbing from the sheets Dahak did little to hide his nudity as he walked towards her and put an hand on her arm. "Gabrielle..." he said softly, in a calming voice. "You know I don't want to keep you here, " the Prince of Darkness lied, "But I'm uncertain as to why you want to leave... moments ago you were wanting me not to stop, what happened in the span of a few heartbeats?"

Gabrielle watched as Dahak came towards her, feeling a sense of unease set in around her. She forced her gaze away as his arm draped around her, wishing nothing for it not to be there. The bard couldn’t wrap her mind around what had just happened. In her mind she saw how hurt Xena would be if she found out. It drove her crazy to even think about hurting her warrior. As his words entered her ears, she felt a chill run down her spine, the calming tone not relaxing her much.

“I shouldn’t have let this happen.” She whispered, licking at her bottom lip, shifting her eyes up to look at him but refused to hold his gaze. “I got caught up in your words. That’s all. I should not have hurt Xena like this.” The Amazon Queen decided as her green eyes looked around to see if a door may have just magically appeared, but there was no door.

“If you don’t want to keep me here then let me go. Make a door appear so I can go find Xena. She’ll be worried.” She said quietly, stepping away from Dahak. The bard began wonder if Xena had even noticed she was gone. She figured she had, at least she was hoping. She wasn’t sure how she was going to tell her about this situation with Dahak but she’d be honest with her warrior. She had too.

I’ll figure out how to tell her as soon as I get out of here. She thought, biting her lip nervously as she glanced over at the dark God. I shouldn’t have been so weak. the bard continued to think, her mind racing at this moment.
