Day 02
Who: Lestat and Tonks
What: Arrival of Lestat de Lioncourt
When: After sundown
Where: The Lake
Rating: at least PG13 for now
Status: COMPLETE

Lestat thought that he loved Akasha, but it was her magnificence he loved…her power…himself reflected in her eyes. Her beauty was beyond compare, but he found that it was a beauty with a very ugly side…a beauty that he must end…and so, when the others moved aside, he took Akasha…without hesitation…without pity. Her blood surged with the heat of ancient majesty and power as it burned through every cell of his undead body… “Stop before their heart stops”, he was taught. It was not so this time. No, this time, Lestat was to be a martyr…the Savior of his kind!

No Lestat…Maharet? Maharet will be our savior? So be it! Lestat stepped aside to let the ancient vampiress end Akasha. Fuck it! He didn’t want to die anyway. There was still plenty to do…Questions that needed answering, concerts to give…but for now, he walked over to Jesse and knelt by her; supporting her head with one hand, he raised his other wrist to his mouth and bit into the underside to get the blood freely flowing…this he placed to the girl’s mouth, feeding her from his body…making her like him…

…and then he was kneeling on a pier that jutted out into a large lake in the middle of nowhere. He stood up and looked around cautiously and then he froze…two moons?! Lestat drew his body up and thrust out his chest. His eyes searched the Heavens. Who dared? Only God or Lucifer surely…

Lestat's lips parted, revealing his pointed canines, and his eyes took on a feral glow as the witch with the strangely colored hair demanded that he stop reading her mind. With his supernaturally heightened senses and speed he could probably snap her neck or consume her in flames before she blinked, but thatwould be a shameful waste. This woman was no amateur. Lestat arched an eyebrow as he looked her over; he had no doubt that she could back up her threats...he decided that he liked this...what did she call herself? Auror.

Moving closer to the eccentric, yet quite lovely witch, Lestat looked deep into her eyes and smiledhis most charming of smiles, "You are correct, Madame Auror. I am a vampire and if I behaved rudely, I must apologize and plead the case that it is the nature of creatures such as I". He pretended to turn a key at his temple, "No more mind reading, fair lady", he purred.

Using his vampiric speed, he moved to the Auror's opposite side in the blink of an eye, "Unusual hair color, my dear...", he noted softly, taking a strand between two fingers, "...is this your natural color?". He looked at her lips and then up up to her eyes. Letting his eyelids half close, he sighed lightly, "I believe my nearness is making you nervous, dear lady"..., he levitated away several feet where she could see him and smiled, "better?". Leaning back against a pierpost, the brat prince smiled, crossed his arms over his chest and requested, "Now, if you please, tell me who brought me here. Wherehere is? Oh, yes...and what in the devil's name is a 'muggle'?!"

She had some experience with vampires. It was almost inevitable in her line of work. Many dark wizards liked to use the bloodsucking creatures for their own ends, although it was dangerous. Still, this was the first time she'd been this close to a vampire, and it was dangerous and fascinating all at the same time, like a deadly snake coiled to strike.

"Rubbish, I've talked to vampires before, some of them quite lovely, if somewhat prone to stare at one's throat. If you are this way, it's because you are that way, not because vampires are. Take some responsability."

She stood very still as she was fixed with his penetrating gaze, despite her strong words. Realizing she was in danger of becoming enthralled, she forced herself to blink, and to keep her wand arm up, though it tended to want to fall to her side. She tracked him as well as she could, despite his quick movements. Completely hopeless to keep up with him, but she tried her best.

One thing hadn't changed, though, and that was her reaction to anyone asking about, or even looking at, her hair color. It never failed to amuse her. Of course, he'd kind of stolen her punchline, which was annoying, but she could adapt. She was good at adapting.

"Yeah, it's natural, sort of. So, anyways, keep a distance of at least a meter, if you please. I have a bad reaction to having my blood drained, so you probably shouldn't try that, either. Now, let's see... first things first. I have something you will probably need."

She dug in her pocket, pulled out the key to the vampire's room, and tossed it to him with the hand that wasn't clutching her wand.

"I think it would be easiest if you came with me. I'll explain as we go, alright?"
